Institut Pendidikan Guru (IPG)

I made it to IPG Dato' Razali Ismail in Terengganu for Bachelor Degree in TESL. I have to choose this kind of path as I am not from Science oriented course when I was in secondary school, so the choices in Uni ain't that wide. Further, I am not from 'finance-able' family. So, if I join IPG, the government will take care of the expenses and give me allowance monthly. Too scared to vouch for PTPTN after all that scary talks from elder. So, I want to ask, anybody here in Lowyat studied or going to IPG? How it feels being in there?

Terengganu Education...

Unless you didn't know what happened to the schools in Terengganu, I'm gonna tell you, we are totally screwed up due to Malaysia's economic recession. You might claim, "Terengganu, one of Malaysia's economic resource gone poor, no way!" You're wrong I'm going to tell you a few initiatives taken by the government here:

The scholarship that were formerly for poor-income citizens now change - Back then, no matter how poor performance the students in academic and discipline, they are qualified for the scholarship exclusive by Terengganu Ministry of Education. Now, only the students who contributed to the schools are qualified - seems a good step, by why now? Why they didn't start this all along. Believe me, my friends that are so-called as 'poor' are actually richer than me. Come on! Their father got 2 cars which are new cars like Proton Saga SE and Myvi SE, while my dad just got old, crappy 10 years Proton Wira.

The Malaysia Ministry of Education will stop supporting the schools electrical and water supply bills - You got that right! This initiative will officially executed on next year. Right now, the Terengganu government are helping us, but they will stop on next year, which means the students have to be the victim. They got to pay extra fees for this.

Teachers allowance now cut down - Well what can I say? It explains all.

Students that are living in hostel have to return home every weekend - The school can't support to feed them in school any longer, thus they have to returns home every Friday and sign in back at the next day. What a faggot! Imagine if your school in Kuala Terengganu and your house is at Kemaman, the costs to go back and forth are costly as all hell!

No more essential school supply like free reference books and exercise books - Back then, we always got humongous type of books so we can study without using our money too much. But now, just meh... that's the price you have to pay for being a fag by giving free netbooks for 11 years old students. I can't see the reason they did this, why not give it to form 5 that will face the SPM. Truth be told, these kids are too advance for this. You know what they did to these free netbooks? Go figure! They use it to download porn, have a LAN games party (old games of course) and other insanity.

Well, I know some of you already knew this. I just want to make this topic so you guys can discuss away. How about the other states? What have gone haywire over there?

Directory Features

Hey, I'm a new member here, all I want to say this is a good Malaysian forums, really huge and got nice community and moderating team. However, I noticed 'slight' flaws. Perhaps this suggestion already posted before but I just want to post anyway.

I see this forums use IPB as the host, perhaps admin can update this boards with sidebar directory feature? If you're not sure what I meant, you guys can see how this awesome boards up and running. They got nice, neat and organized side bar directory, keep in mind, this LYN boards is waayy much bigger than GTA forums. One section got humongous sub-sections, and these sub-sections even got another different type of sections. It's really hard for me to find a topic that I want. I mean you guys can see it for yourself, we got too many duplicated topic with the same discussion, some of them are left abandoned without any lock or re-direct by board staff.

So, perhaps this feature can make a hell out of change of this problem. Also, before someone said; "Why don't you search the preferred topic by google or search feature?" - Yes, I already did that, but it is more nice to have one discussion topic rather than million same topics scattered all around LYN Forums.
"This is not easy as ABC matey!" - Yes I'm aware of this, updating a board is not a walk in the park. I'm not asking this feature installed immediately.

Thanks...
