Sifu.. what’s the recommended wired to wireless CarPlay dongle?

Given tht 13PM battery lasts for whole day I don’t see the need for connecting to CarPlay via usb and at the same time charging the phone

Date & Time Reset

So today when I booted up my MBA the date and time had mysteriously been reset (to 1/1/2001), as well as AirPort keychain information.

It wasn't a big deal to fix, but just wondering has anyone else experienced this? I'm running on SL 10.6.6.
