Greetings,

We are students of Bachelor of Legal Studies from Faculty of Law, Universiti Teknologi MARA, would like to ask for your assistance to spend some time to answer a survey for our final year research paper titled "Anti Defection Legislation - A Feasibility Study From Malaysia Perspective".

Please insert your IC no. It is a requirement from UiTM in the participant consent form. As this is an online survey, I can't really asked participant to download the form and signed it. Rest assured, the private data collected will not be publish in my research paper or will not be given to any third party. Update 1:

The State Legal Advisor for Penang, Kelantan, Sarawak and Sabah have given me documents pertaining to previous state constitution amendment in 1986 (Sabah), 1988 (Sarawak), 1991 (Kelantan), 1993 (Sabah), 1994 (Sarawak-repeal), 1995 (Sabah-repeal) and 2012 (Penang). This state constitution amendment is to tackle party hopping amongst ADUNs in the respective state.

To add, in March 1978, Mr Lim Kit Siang, have proposed the Anti Party Hopping Law or "Akta Anti Pembelotan", but it was belittle by other MPs from the government and former DAP MPs that have jumped ship. The proposal did not garner any support.

Cheap phones in Lazada, 11th Street, is it genuine

I'm looking for new phone, and found it dirt cheap in Lazada, 11th Street. However after placing order the vendor told me to cancel and only deals it buy phone directly from them. Reported it to Lazada and they did not take any actions. Instead Lazada cancelled my order and refund.

Have anyone experience this? Anyone knows why these vendor can sell the phone dirt cheap? Not being naive, but I did get good bargain items from Lazada and 11th Street previously, but never encountered anything like this recent experience.

I.e. Huawei P20 Pro is selling at RM1.5k

Wifi extender / AP did not give out IP

Hi,

If any one can help me with this predicament. I want to extend my wifi coverage through out my compound. I'm using Unifi and the BTU is connected to a D-Link DIR850L (master). Then I take out my old streamyx modem D-Link DSL 2750E (slave).

The slave unit wifi will not give out IP to my machines (laptop, mobiles, tables) - 169.254.x.x . BUT if connect using wired it can give out IP address just fine. Here is what I did to the slave unit:

1. Change the IP of the unit to 192.168.0.2 and subnet mask 255.255.255.0 to match the master unit IP range and subnet mask. Master unit IP is 192.168.0.1.
2. Rename the SSID, Key, Channels of the slave to match the master. (I also tried different SSID and Channels. I even put both slave and master router wifi channels on Auto)
3. Disable the DHCP of the slave unit.
4. Connect the master and slave using straight RJ45 cable.
5. Reboot.

Here is what I did to the master unit:

1. Assign static IP based on the slave MAC to avoid conflicts.

I tried this with a different router too, Buffalo WCR-GN. Still no luck. I even tried to flash a custom firmware for the Buffalo router from dd-wrt page. But alas, there is some problem with the firmware (according to the forum).

I'm baffles, can any one please help. What did I do wrong here?

The D-Link Tech Support have not been able to help me with this. Please don't ask me to buy a wifi repeater. My hardware is still in pretty good condition (with plastic and all).
