Electronic Drums in Condo?

Looking to get an electronic kit for my condo. I know that the kick drum usually transmits the loudest sound to the unit below. I'm more worried about that as the budget of drums im looking at have mesh pads already.

Anyone here have experience using electronic drums in condo? I've seen quiet kick pedals like the KT-9/KT-10 as well, but it still makes audible noise.

Bringing Helmet on Plane

Just wondering, I know we can't really order online for new helmets as customs will flag them and we have to get relevant permits etc. What about if we buy a helmet abroad and check it in? Anyone experience this here?

Networking Freelancers?

(noob diy) Cable conduit/trunking?

Hello DIY senpais! So I’m a total noob when it comes to wiring and running long cables. Just managed to run an ethernet cable from router to back room using doublesided tape 😂 I just remembered about those plastic conduits or trunks. Would like to know how do those work (taped on wall?) and where to get them? I have no access to power tools such as drills etc, thus finding the best method to conceal and run long ethernet cable to 1st floor upstairs along wall

Canon 800D or 77D?

Not reaching 500Mbps

So I just got Turbo-ed by unifi to 500Mbps, but I'm no where near that speed! Speedteset by Ookla shows average 96Mbps by cable! Almost the same with running on wifi, 5Ghz gives almost the same 90-110Mbps, on good days the download speed can spike to 200Mbps for few seconds then returns back down.

Equip:
Dlink DIR-882
Unifi 500Mbps
Network card: AC8260

Something to do with my side or unifi side ?

Hi sifus! I'm running on regular Unifi with standard unifi router. I'm planning to get a new router that can enable one guest network, but the thing is, I would like to limit the speed and bandwidth on that guest network (so the main network isn't disrupted). Are there any routers that do this? I have seen some routers with QoS but that only works by "prioritizing" devices that are connected to it. Do advice !Ty!

Sifus, whats the best option under that budget? With a great display as well! Looking at the HP Omen at the moment! The Asus are nice but TN screens are wuite shady from my pov. I game alot but I design alot as well so the display is quite important to me!

Screen has to be decent Heard alot about JOi but have no clue on how reliable it is. There are some tablets from lenovo/acer that I saw competing with JOi in the rm500 range too.. Does anybody here or does anyone know where in Malaysia I could get aftermarket LCD Screens ?? I have a Lenovo Y50 that I'm trying to get a replacement LCD for. The model is AU OPTRONICS B156HAN01.1 (Matte display). Any help would be greatly appreciated guys!

Lenovo Y50 Screen Upgrade?

Hey guys!

So I got myself the Y50 a year ago. It's the one with GTX860. The problem is I realize is that the display is actually quite bad and is actually affecting me. I read online that you can actually change it ? Because the Y50 came with two options:

1st: Like mine, standard FULL HD LED screen
2nd: UHD Screen (Much better but expensive)

So to all the laptop gurus, is it possible for me to replace my screen with the UHD one ?? And if so where

Hey guys! I need advice on how to set up a unifi network system in my new office.

I have 3 shoplots and 2 floors ( basically 6 lots ) and I need to have wifi enabled access for both the floors, how would i do that ?

1. Would an expensive router such as those from Asus rm700+ do the job and can cover all 2 floors?

or

2. Should I use Powerline adaptors ?

or

3. or wifi extenders?

4. Sign up 2 unifi accounts (which i dont think is convenient)?

Please advice guys ! and a lil more detail too since im noob in networking Oh and the usage is probably 30 people at most at a time (definitely less).

Putting together a band

Hey guys! I'm looking to put together a band that is influenced by John Mayer! I'm a sucker for John's music and I'd like to know if there's any other Mayer lovers!

1) looking for:
Drummer (you dont need double pedals! Just very good basics and good rhythm and creativity)
Guitarist (Acoustic/electric)
Keyboardist(optional)
Bassist (Once again dont have to be a super expert in bass!)

2) instrument:
I play acoustic and electric guitars, not the best but it works! And vocals

3) influences/preferences:
John Mayer, Musical styles from Gravity, Slow Dancing in a burning room, Born & Raised album, all of it!

4) location:
Damansara

Let me know what you guys think! We dont have to be a band playing all kinds of crazy solos but be able to work together and connect to each other as a band, we could play really simple stuff and make it realllyy sound good!

I've never been in a band before (only marching band back in school) so it would be cool to learn from each other
