A report now claims that the incident appears to be a coordinated attempt to siphon funds from the bank using hundreds of accounts, with suspected losses of up to RM165.75 million

According to The Edge Malaysia, sources familiar with the investigation records allege that 718 accounts across 19 financial institutions, including banks and e-wallets, were involved. In an email response to the news outlet regarding the accuracy of the figures, namely the 718 accounts and RM165.75 million, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) said that “the affected institution has been working closely with BNM, law enforcement agencies and experts to investigate the matter, establish the root causes and recover lost funds.”

KUALA LUMPUR: Universal Music Malaysia has removed the latest music video by the group Dolla from all digital platforms following public concerns that the members' appearance was deemed inappropriate.

This move was made in light of a statement by the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs), Datuk Dr Mohd Na'im Mokhtar, who emphasised the need to respect the boundaries and sensitivities of the country's multi-racial and pluralistic society.

Managing Director of Universal Music Malaysia managing director, Kim Lim, said that the decision to withdraw the music video was made after reviewing the entire production content and considering community feedback.

"As a recording company operating in a diverse ecosystem like Malaysia, we always respect cultural values, religious sensitivities, and the views of our fans.

"We take all feedback seriously and accept full responsibility for any errors that may have occurred. We believe creativity and artistic expression should go hand-in-hand with sensitivity to local norms.

"The decision to take down the music video is a reasonable step to maintain harmony and respect among all parties," she said in a statement yesterday.

Universal Music Malaysia stressed its commitment to ensuring that all future creative projects will undergo a more rigorous review process, including internal discussions and professional consultations, to prevent similar issues from recurring.

The company also expressed its appreciation to the fans and community who provided open and constructive feedback, and hopes the matter can be handled appropriately without affecting the relationship between artistes, fans, and the local music community.

Earlier, Mohd Na'im announced that he was looking into imposing Syariah criminal action on Muslim celebrities who dress in overtly revealing or sexual outfits.

This includes ordering a review of the dress code for Muslim celebrities.

The recent look of the group Dolla in their latest music video, titled 'Question', garnered significant attention, with parts of the community describing their fashion style as excessive and overtly revealing.

KAJANG (Nov 7): The Shah Alam High Court on Friday sentenced GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Nasiruddin Mohd Ali and Mohammad Adib At-Tamimi, who is the son of former Al-Arqam founder Ashaari Muhammad, as well as 11 other men jointly accused with them for becoming members of an unlawful organisation to 15 months in jail each.

Apart from Nasiruddin, 66, and Mohammad Adib At-Tamimi, 33, the other men are Mohd Shukri Mohd Noor, 54, Muhammad Afdaluddin Latif, 35, Mohamad Sayuti Omar, 36, Mohd Fazil Md Jasin, 58, Mohd Dhirar Fakhrur Razi, 35, Mokhtar Tajuddin, 61, Muhammad Fajrul Islam Khalid, 29, Abu Ubaidah Ahmad Shukri, 35, Shuhaimi Mohamed, 57, Hasnan Abd Hamid, 54, and Muhammad Zahid Azhar @ Nadzri, 52.

Judge Datuk Seri Latifah Mohd Tahar meted out the sentence during a proceeding held at the Kajang Prison Complex after they pleaded guilty to the charge.

They were ordered to serve the jail sentence from the date of their arrest, which was between Sept 2, 2024 and Oct 12, 2024.

Meanwhile, Nasiruddin's wife, Azura Md Yusof, 58, and eight other women were each fined RM4,500, in default seven months' imprisonment, after pleading guilty to the same charge.

The eight women are Khalilatul-Zalifah Mohammad Jamil, 28, Nur Jannah Omar, 33, Hamimah Yakub, 72, Asmat @ Asmanira Muhammad Ramly, 45, Nurul Jannah Idris, 29, Siti Salmiah Ismail, 58, Siti Hajar Ismail, 52, and Mahani Kasim, 55.

A local entrepreneur and influencer has made explosive claims against her ex-husband, a Barisan Nasional (BN) Youth leader, alleging that he frequently hired prostitutes, subscribed to OnlyFans and kept a collection of sex toys.

These revelations, she said, were the real reason behind their divorce.

In a series of posts shared on her Instagram Stories, the entrepreneur broke her silence about her past marriage, saying she could no longer tolerate her ex-husband’s alleged infidelity and double life.

“This is a teaser of why I divorced him. He wanted to prove to netizens that he was looking for a modest and veiled woman, just to look good. In reality, he likes to subscribe to OnlyFans,” she wrote.

The entrepreneur went on to claim that her ex-husband had rented a secret place to meet women, describing it as a spot conveniently located near his friend’s office.

“He rented a special place to bring in his mistresses and prostitutes. He would go there every day during working hours because it is near his friend’s office.

“Since he could not go to hotels anymore because I had his location, he would not get caught there. And this is not even the first place; it is the second,” she alleged.

“I had his live location, so he couldn’t go to the hotels. This was the second place he rented after the first time in 2017. I suspect he was influenced by the 50 Shades of Grey movie,”

Alongside the revelations, she also uploaded photos of what appeared to be sex toys, condoms and lubricants, claiming they belonged to her ex-husband.

The influencer further shared screenshots of alleged messages from several individuals who claimed to have been hired by him.

She said her decision to come forward was triggered by recent attempts to tarnish her reputation by people close to her ex-husband.

“He just wants others to think I’m the bad one, just because I’m sexy. So, he looked for someone in a hijab. If I share the list of women he subscribed to on OnlyFans, you would cry.”

“He just wants people to think I am the bad one because I am sexy. That is his only motive, but wrong move.

“I came prepared. I am not the kind who disturbs others, but if you mess with me, that is your biggest mistake.

“So the lesson here is, do not try so hard to act righteous. No one is impressed; those who know you already know what you are really like.
