Streamyx 4Mbps giving slow wifi - Max only 1.5Mbps

I'm using Streamyx 4 Mbps connection with Innacomm W3400V modem. Ever since the first day, my wifi always will be somewhat limited to 1.5 Mbps.

If I use wired LAN, I'll enjoy the max speed of 4 Mbps connection, but with wireless, I'm just not getting what I'm paying for. I think the modem settings is

somehow limiting the speed. Can anyone help? I wanna have 4 Mbps wireless connection~~

My phone description is as below:

Model: Samsung Galaxy Ace
Model no: GT-S5830
Android ver: 2.2.1

My problem is my android device is running extremely slow on home wifi. I'm using Streamyx 4mbps internet with Innacomm W3400V modem. The internet works perfectly on my other devices such as PC, laptops and even windows mobile.

The problem is whenever i try to connect the wifi using my droid, it shows excellent connection strength but the browser, android market and even facebook app failed to load. It will work for 30 sec and then will have connection issue. Speedtest.net app also won't work.

Whenever I connect to public wifi such as mamak stall or starbucks, wifi works perfectly in my galaxy ace. It even worked perfectly in my friend's house whose using Streamyx 1mbps internet.

Does anyone have the same problem with me? Any help is appreciated. I googled this problem and there's a lot of threads on slow wifi in android but mostly on other brands such as HTC and Nexus. None gives a good solution. If anyone have succeeded in fixing this, kindly help. Thanks
