how to withdraw USD from the US check?

Normally, I would just deposit the foreign currency check to the bank account, bank will auto convert to RM.
But now, I need some USD, so instead of deposit as RM, can I deposit as USD then withdraw?

I would need to open a foreign currency account? but then I would not be able to withdraw all

or asking US site to send with MoneyGram or Western Union in USD for me here would be a viable choice?

Thanks

new router or switch for my maxis home fiber

current setup:
maxis default setup
Huawei modem then to Thomson Router which has 4 LAN ports

I have wired 7 network ports

So the Router's 4 LAN ports are not enough, I do not want to use too much wireless, wireless are for smart phones.

My option are
1) buy a wireless 8 ports router likes D-Link DIR-632
and setup by following this thread http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2384890
all 8 ports would be utilized (1 VOIP phone to thomson router, the rest 8 ports for 7 network ports and 1 for cctv)

2) buy a 8 ports switch likes TL-SF1008D and connect to Thomson router
would use 6 ports only. (the other 3 would be connected to Thomson router's LAN ports)

Thanks

Hi,

Both priced at around RM16xx
I actually was looking for DSLR, but the shop guy recommended Panasonic Lumix GF2 as I do not have much time to learn the more advance manual setting for DSLR, and also DSLR need more time to take care of.

I'm willing to learn, but i do have limited time. I'm traveling in the begin of March, and is looking for a decent camera aside from my smartphone camera.

What interest me is that Lumix GF2 has a touch screen with HD in video recording.

Thanks for the advice in advance.
