Swollen lips from embroidery

One suffers too much for lips embroidery and I think it is not worth the try at all!
I did mine three days ago. The lips swelled immediately and I had to get a mask
from my beautician to cover the ugly lips. That very night, the lips were so swollen
that I looked like a clown. Today is the third day and the swell has subsided.
Now the red dead skin is peeling off and I look much better. The end result is not
known yet as my lips are still red. I regretted so much and I had a real earful from
my mother-in-law and my parents!

My brother saw me and shook his head. Gosh!! It's still so so painful

Doris

Today's the day four of my lip embroidery....
Woke up in the morning and the lips are still slightly swollen. Discovered to my horror
the skin's a little raw (like that of ulcer). It's bearable though. The bright red colour on
the lips is fading and the lips look paler. WHAT HAVE I DONE TO MYSELF!!
Really make a grave mistake. I should have diligently apply lipsticks and that's it.

Doris

I have adhered to my beautician's advice to wash my lips with water and applying the
cream every 2 hours. My beauty sleep is therefore interrupted.
Also, taking DANZEN for anti-inflammation, drinking lots of water, taking vit C
and also honey. Since day one, my lips feel like sand paper. They feel rough and dry.
It's slightly better today and the hassle and suffering are too much for me.

Doris

When cleaning my lips with water, the feeling is less stinging. To rid of the dry skin which
caused this tightness on my lips, I rub them off gently with the cream given by the beautician.
Pressing on them is like rubbing on bruises! It looks like chapped lips now with two tones of
colours. The bright red and pink. Am afraid that eventually when the bright red were to drop-off,
I may eventually ended up with having my dark lips!! Who knows?!

Doris

Made further attempts to rub off more dry skin from my lips. It has certainly eased the tightness
as well as smoothen the texture of the lips. Underneath the dark shade of red, my lips look tenderer than before.
However, I am rather dismayed that not having to apply anymore lipstick is out of the question.
Though I am not very sure yet. Shall see.

Doris

Day 5 of my agony. I have no choice but to wear a mask whenever I go out. Some of the `stubborn' red ink is still
stuck to my delicate skin. My attempts to get it off make the stinging pain coming back when I rinse my mouth with
water. I started cleansing the lips with warm water adding some salt. Just imagine the excruciating pain! I fought
very hard to hold back my tears. I must get this `stubborn' red ink on my lips out as wearing the mask out simply
frighten people off and you could see they try as much as possible to shun you.

Doris :

Day 6 of my aguish. Cleaning my lips with salt water is no longer painful. The tone of the lips is more even now.
Which means I need not `adorn' the mask when I go out. Phew! Last night, the lips were extremely dry. Applying the
cream that the beautician gave me was useless. I resorted to putting sesame oil onto the lips. Still, the effect
wasn't very good. I was at my wits end and decided to apply the Nivea Lip Care. Miraculously, it worked.
I hope the healing process now will be smoother as I need not rub my lips anymore or otherwise, I will suffer from a
`lip trauma'....

Doris:

Day 7 of my shock. This redness which outlines my lips which intially I thought was stubborn ``red ink' is actually my raw skin!
It dawns on me that I have to wait for it to heal like the ulcers!! Not again...
Hey ladies, I may sound very very negative. But I must cheer up you know, cos the lip colour that I am having is a healthy
pink. Well, you will have to decide if you want to go through my pain. If you ask me for advice, I would say ``DONT DO IT''!

Doris

Hurray! Yahoo! Day 8 is my happy day. The lips have almost healed and it looks a healthy pink now. I can say goodbye to my
once darkened lips. My heartfelt thanks to my dearest daughter for buying lunch and dinner for the family during my `confinement'.
My mother-in-law commented that this was far worse than giving birth. I agreed with her whole-heartedly.

Doris
