what's better investment - stock vs property

i don't know man, i know stock much better than property. but lately i've been thinking of property too, however, the price has skyrocketed too much in the past 2-3 years. i'm NOT sure if it was irrational or the property is really reflecting its value now.

stock has gone down somewhat... while i don't see economy going much better in short term, stocks may look cheaper and the risk of going down further - we've seen it in 1998.

but property? we've not seen it, so i'm not sure if the we are heading to that cycle.

what do you guys think?

islamic banking vs conventional banking

it's interesting to see islamic banking gaining momentum, but the question is, what's islamic banking?

i think the most striking difference between islamic and conventional would be the money invested would be syariah compliance activity.

i also see that it has profit sharing.

would that mean saving account will get more interest, and loan is cheaper in interest?

anyone care to explain?
i've got few problems that i need to consult specialist, i've had these issues for quite some time and i guess i need to pay attention to it now:

1. i've a symptom that i only breath with only one nose nostril. it can be either left or right, it seems to be taking shift, morning could be left and later with the right or either way. anyone knows of a good Otorhino-laryngology (ENT)?
2. with that said, i'm tired all the time, dont really get good sleep. i snore, but not that loud, however, i've read that snore might be a bigger issue, sleep apnea, read through it and it looked SCARY!

3. urologist
3. psychologist

hahaha sounds scary eh me? na some are real minor problems but want to check if it could lead to any more major issues.

[addedon]July 27, 2008, 4:38 am[/addedon]lol, i just made a search... we actually breath through one nostril .. -.-

im not sure how accurate those things are..

Investing properties in Aus vs Mal

I've read the star today on this Flinder St @ Melbourne fully furnished freehold apartment, selling at A$200k, if you had a budget of about RM600k for a property as an investment, would you invest in Melb or KL?

One of the considerations that I have is that over here rental payment cannot cover your loan repayment, but in Australia, it is pretty easily to recoup your loan payment from rental, in fact, at times you can get positive cash flow from it.

Actually, US and UK have pretty cheap properties too for the recent subprime, but I've personally been to Melb and know how populated and good location Flinder St is, on top of that, there's Uni of Melb, Victoria U and RMIT just around there...

What do you think?
US recession vs Malaysia stock

well, according to analyst, US finance sector profit might downfall up to 30% with share might go south for almost 50% of the current value.

do you think it's good to invest in finance sector in malaysia? but based on the current price, a lot of the stocks are very expensive vs the economy outlook.

do you think investing in gambling industry would be a good? I've read sin chew and they've recommended DGATE which produces slot machines and other electronic machine for gambling industry, with taiwan and thailand considering casinos over there.

resort too..

what do you have to say about it?
