Quality of Astro Beyond non-HD Channels

Thinking of upgrading to Astro Beyond as my current Astro image quality really sucks!!

Understand that the HD channel will be giving good image quality on my LCD, but wandering what will be the image quality for the rest of existing channels i.e. 301, 311, 312, 313, etc.

Will it better than the existing Astro's images?

AC Ryan with External BD ROM Support?

Once AC Ryan support external BD ROM, I think practically all format will be supported and again if we wanted to watch via VCD Disc, DVD Disc or Blu-Ray Disc will not be a problem.

Astro Byond worth to pay additional $20?

Do you think it is worth to pay additional RM 20 for 2 years contract for only HD 5 channels?

Not sure the quality of the rest of the channels for the new decoders yet. If there is not much different from the newer decoder with component cable I would rather stay foot until end of 2010 where Astro launch 10 more channels as per their promise.

Imagine the additional 5 channels i.e. Supersports, ESPN, HBO, National Geographic and History Channel, I think I will utilized the most is the HBO channel. The rest will be hardly viewed. I'm not the sports fans anyway

However by end of 2010 with additional 10 channels do you think Astro will not charge addition?? How about if you sign-up now and commit of RM 20 for 2 years and you decided to add-on of another 10 channels, with current payment probably you end up paying additional RM 60 (currently pay RM20 for 5 channels, another RM40 for another 10 channels) on top of your existing package.

We might be over pay to what we are getting then...

Best Full HD 32" LCD

after struggling in determine which best 32" Full HD LCD to buy, finally decided to buy the SHARP AQUOS LCD TV where the owner claimed that the panel is manufactured in Japan.

In fact after evaluating all the LCD and noticed that for 32" range of LCDs finally the best picture quality still only Samsung and Sharp which only both brands offering full HD 1080p.

Honestly Samsung still displaying the best picture quality, however choosing Sharp because have more confidence in Japan products than Korean products. Not sure your guys agreeing with me.

Astro Decoder with Component Cable

Just bought the Monster Ultra 1000 THX component cable to connect the latest Astro decoder into my Sharp Aquos Full HD LCD.

The image has been improved tremendously and color also improving than the old decoder with S-Video cable.

However noticed that the LCD keep flick seems like it try to locate the display resolution especially viewing certain channel like 311 (Wa Lai Toi), 312, etc.

Does anyone facing the similar problem? Or is there any setting that I had missed out?

Suggestion and comments are welcome.
