Best Place to Computer Science/IT

Which is the best place for IT/Computer Science. I am actually kinda more interested in computer science as it is wider and you also learn about the technology and not just about how to use it. I've listed the once that i have considered. I don't plan on Nottingham or Taylor's as their prices are really high. APIIT doesn't offer computer science but I might think about taking IT. So its kinda left with MMU. Any other suggestions?

About MMU, can it take the Diploma in IT and then continue into the Bachelor in Computer Science? How long will that take? How is it different from taking Foundation in IT and continue to Bachelor in Computer Science?

Am I suited for computer science?

I am thinking of taking a computer science course or maybe programming. I want to know if I am suitable for this course because I feel that I am not enthusiastic enough about it. I have been using computers since I was really young even before I can remember. I only remember dropping my first baby tooth when using a computer. I use the computer mostly to just do stuff like playing games, using softwares, surfing internet. I can easily spent hours on the computer sometimes even just to waste time. I've never really seriously learned any programming languages. I just know some really basic html but thats all.

I've also heard everywhere that to do a computing degree, you need to be good at math. I'm not really that good at maths, usually around 70 for maths and for add maths highest also 60 something and twice before was at pass-fail borderline.

Btw, can you do an IT course without a laptop? Do you need a good comp or a decent one would be fine?

IT career still popular?

I know that IT courses are not as popular as they use to be but I was wondering if they are still popular. Most of my friends now all want to go to medical and engineering courses (besides computer engineering) and I seem to be the only one interesting in doing maybe something like computer science or software engineering. Have IT courses become unpopular because of the lower job prospects, though I still believe there is a demand for it? Even when my aunty ask me what I want to do the first thing she say is "Don't tell me you want to do IT.....already got so many people doing them."
