Best way to clean bulky cpu heatsink?

so whats the best way to clean bulky cpu heatsink? i got a megahalem from few years ago and it doesnt look nice anymore. I used compressed air and vacuum but that didnt remove the fine dust completely. how to clean the fine dust in between the fins, and make it look shiny as new again? thx!

Disk read error occurred

This prob happened last week, evrything was fine the day before. The next morning when i start the pc, suddenly this message popped-up "disk read error has occurred, press ctrl+alt+del to restart". Ive restarted the pc multiple times, but the error persisted. After that, my pc cant detect the harddisk anymore (not showing in bios). After letting it rest for few hours, it seems like the bios able to detect it again (the POST sometimes showed s.m.a.r.t is ok, sometime didnt detect at all, and windows wont load)

Some of the things i tried to fix it:
- swapped cable and port - wont fix the prob
- tried to boot into safemode and fix windows startup but failed to run
- tried command prompt for chkdsk but for some reason it wont run too
- i can feel the harddisk spinning normally, no weird sound or other error

So i bought a new harddisk, installed windows, but after restarting, the same problem happened again! Fffff
disk read error still happen

My hardware details : asus rampage formula (bought in 2008), samsung spinpoin f3 1tb (since 2010), WD caviar 1tb (just bought today!)

anyone has any idea how to fix it? Its very frustrating

how to clean dust on mobo

you can see white dust all over the mobo

my question is, how to clean the dust on mobo using the safest way? i tried to vacuum but still some leftovers that still persistent. should i just wipe it? im afraid of that electrostatic thingy. i heard of compressed aircan. will it work?

i wanna make my mobo as shiny as new !! help!!

oh yeah n also cleaning thermal paste. can i use alcohol? coz some people said that it's not recommended. well, i dunno about that. can give advise?

hi, im planning to buy new case, either CM690 or LanCool K58W which places PSU at the bottom.

the question is, if the PSU is located at the bottom, is the power cable of GIGABYTE ODIN PRO 550W (my current PSU) long enuf to attach to the power socket?

it worries me though, as i dont wanna upgrade PSU. any answers is really appreciated.
