Multiple-monitors

Currently I have 2 Samsung LED monitors, but only one is in use (let's call it M1), the other one is not fully utilized (M2).

My Toshiba laptop is running Windows 7 Home Premium, so far I can extend the monitor to M1.
On laptop monitor, I can see [Start] button, toobar, desktop,etc. as usual;
On M1 monitor, it has only wallpaper and *no* [Start] button, no toolbar..., I can drag/switch the opened application windows from laptop to this monitor.

Somebody suggested me to use video splitter, but the result is that M2 monitor showing the same thing as M1.

Is there any way to extend to M2 monitor?
For example, how do I achieve this:-
if I open a Firefox window, a Chrome window, and a Word document, and then I let Firefox stays on laptop monitor, and drag Chrome window to M1, Word to M2.

Please kindly help and share your thought, thank you!
