Sound device not working: The system buzz is working, but the audio speaker does not work whenever I use audio application.<br />2. Unable to login to Window Live Messenger: Every time I try to log in, it would show that my version is not updated, have to download an updated version, and when I downloaded the updated version and try to install, it shows error 80004004.<br />3. Modem driver show exclamation mark: I use USB broadband modem to connect to internet. So, I’ve no idea if the integrated modem works or not, But the device manager shows a exclamation mark on the modem. <br /><br /><img src='http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2664/4106352442_a9bd257a64.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' /><br /> <br />I’ve been trying all my best to fix these problems in vain the whole night yesterday. I think I’ve got the wrong driver. <br />There’s a list of Compaq Presario B2800 which ends with different end code such as: Compaq Presario B2800CTO, Compaq Presario B2800AP, Compaq Presario B2800EU, and so on. I downloaded the driver of Compaq Presario B2800CTO as it looks exactly like the model I’m using.
