Need advice - Reject new car due to Engine failure

Looking for some advice from the guys here..

I bought a brand new European Car which was delivered to me last Thursday Evening (27-Jun). The car was all good and I was able to drive back home.

Next morning, the car had difficulties in starting with Engine stuttering, but I still managed to drive about 1 km out before it completely stopped and can't be started again.

The car had to be towed back into the Service center, and I was informed that the Engine Management/Communication Unit needs further diagnostic and I need to leave the car behind.

So, I've had a major breakdown within 24 hours of the car being delivered to me, and now they have to take apart a brand new car to perform the required repair.

Is it possible for me to reject the car on the grounds of not fit for purpose as it was not road worthy?

Thanks.

KLK Oleomas

Hey guys,

I got my Degree in Chemical Engineering in 2009. From then on I've been working in an IT position in KL (office job), this position pays me rm3.5k + comm rm2k - 2.5k a month, 5 days work/week (UK hours)

I've now received an offer from KLK for the position of Production Superintendent at their plant in Westport with a basic of 2.8k (related to Engineering), no allowance. Benefits: Family Insurance coverage + 15% EPF + 18 days AL + est 3 months annual bonus, 6 days work, 2 days off, 24 hours rotation shift

I like my IT Job at KL bcos of the pay, but I can't see a future in the company, no increment or bonus for 1.5 years! Only basic benefits (medical).

The new job at KLK would be a good chance to start my career, but the salary is too low, bcos my monthly commitment is:

Car Loan : 800 pm
Housing Loan : 1200 pm
Credit Card: RM200
Personal Loan: RM 180
Food+Phone Bill+Transportation+Entertaiment : ??????????????

I stay in Klang, so my monthly travelling expense to KL is RM450, I can save bout RM300 if I accept the offer from KLK in Westport.

They also have promised for salary adjustment after 6 months into the job (if confirmed), but they didnt tell me how much.

And they claim they're opening a new Plant in Klang in 2 months (top secret, P & C), and I will be transferred to there, good career growth.

Another thing is, I consider this is my last opportunity for entry into Engineering Field, after this it'll be literally impossible to get another opportunity bcos it's now close 2 years since I've graduated.

What would you guys do if you're in my position? Anyone working in KLK can tell me the prospect of working in this place? Thanks.
