Dear all,

My partner n i been married for over a year and we postphone pregnancy because we are not ready yet. We decided the time is not now because of my partner's working conditions (busy, hectic n stress). The parenting that we want is co-parenting where the father and mother equally raise the child. With current economy and also failed education systm, we are very calculative about this. Plus, we loved the time spent together, only the two of us, without any restriction (a baby)

The issue that bother us is, my in laws keep on pestering us to produce a grandchild for them. They already have one with the sister in law. My partner has informed them about our decision, but they keep asking me and only in front of me when to have thei grandchild. Today, they asked me again, without the presence of my partner and out of anger I told them having a baby is not a hobby to toy with. Its driving me insane and I brought up again when my partner enter the living room. We both try to explain why the delay and Im taking the pill. Seems our answer is not satisfied to them. Its the kampung mentality -many kids, prosper.

I had no issue with my own family, they understand and supported our decision.

How to deal with this tricky situation. I feel as they have step over the lines here.

Dear Girls

I decided to make up myself for my reception at the Groom's side (in Kelantan). The reception is just a small occasion and I could not find any suitable makeup artist from kelantan (they have limited source and all fully booked).

I googled and youtube some makeup tutorial but the problem is I haven't purchase any make up products to complete my look. I'm afraid to buy and then it would not be suitable, wrong color, or just doesn't give enough coverage. I'm trying to achieve Kate Middleton's look.

So I need your help to give some comments on the products I've listed below for day event makeup.

Face Primer : Haven't read/google/youtube yet for face primer.
Foundation : Revlon Photoready makeup or Loreal True match
Eyeliner : Maybelline Gel Eyeliner

Bad Parenting & How to save their Children

Dear All,

I have a brother, married and has 4 children. He and sis in law married at the young age (bro at 25, sis at 20). They had their first child one year after getting married. The children's age gap from first to the 4th is :

First to second child : 2 yr gap
Second to third child : 2 yr gap
Third to fourth child : 1 year

Now the first child is now 9 yrs old. My concern starts from the fact that they have bad parenting skills over their children. They are ignorance of the child progress in school, didn't check the homework, let the kids play all day long and watching cartoons simultaneously. The first child had a bit problem with her education, the progress is slow plus she is far sighted, means that she mostly can't see what her teacher wrote at the whiteboard. Although her parents gave her spectacles, they didn't give any encouragement to wear it on daily basis. The parents also do not send their children to any tuition nor guide them in their studies.

Since I'm the aunt, I'm really worried of the children progress in learning. The first child, 9 yrs old doesn't know how to do subtraction and slow in reading. Now, I take the initiative to tutor them myself in the evening (I started two days ago).

What else could a third part do to save these children? I'm not the mother nor the father, I have no authority over them. I really pity them (the children of course) because they were denied of having a good education at young age.

Finding its hard to get into their "way of thinking". From observation, those kelantanese that don't have any connection with outside world tends to be hard to socialize between non-kelantanese.

They have weird mindset towards ppl outside of their state.

Ownership issues in the office

Hi all,

Situation in my office : a sr collegue attending a case. Half through the case, s/he simply passed it to another collegue without any summary of the case, and instruct to follow up until resolved. Every dept, from bosses to normal execs are not taking any ownership of their own work , causing more stress and low productivity.

I would like to know if ownership issue (like the above) is normal in Malaysia or am i too naive about this situation? Or was it just an office politics?

Would love to hear your opinion about this.
