Somdej Wat Rakhang, B.E. 2538, (1995 AD), Crack Mould with Gold Tangkai

Somdej Phra Buddhachan Toh Promarangsri of Wat Rakhang (Bell temple) has made the most precious Somdej amulets in Thai history. Somdej means "Supreme". Somdej amulets from Wat Rakhang, together with those from Bangklumpum (consisting of Wat Intraviharn and Wat Mai) and Wat Getchaiyo in Angthung are the most sought after ones by collectors all over the world (ranking by Wat). Earliest batches of Somdej amulets from these temples are associated with Somdej Toh.

Of course, they are also many other famous Somdej amulets from other temples or masters such as that by LP Suk, Makhamtao, LP Pae, Phikultung, LP Tim, Lahanrai, Kaiser, Wat Arun, etc but if we were to rank preference for Somdej amulets by temple of origin, then the group of temples mentioned above would top the chart.

Traditionally, Somdej amulets feature a silhouette image of the Lord Buddha seated on a three tier throne surrounded by an elongated semi-circle frame. An old saying has it that, the inspiration for the design of Somdej amulets came upon Acharn Toh one day when he was meditating by the seaside. In his vision, he saw a silhouette image of the Buddha in the horizon with a rainbow above (represented by the semi-circle frame) and the sea wave below (represented by the three tier throne).

Many businessmen would prefer to wear Somdej amulets as it is believe to enhance confidence in their negotiation and dealing. In fact, Somdej is an all rounder amulet that is good for promoting protection, wealth, fortune, smooth endeavour, success, confidence, cari makan, dispelling evil, metta, etc. It is also a good choice of amulet for students.

- SOLD OUT

Somdej Wat Rakhang 118 Anniversary, B.E. 2533 (1990)

Somdej Phra Buddhachan Toh of Wat Rakhang has made the most precious Somdej amulets in Thai history. In memory of his passing in B.E. 2415, Wat Rakhang has issued this batch of Somdej amulet in B.E. 2533 (118 anniversary of his passing). Materials from old Wat Rakhang amulets alongside holy powders from various masters are included in making this batch of amulets. As such, this batch of Somdej makes a good substitute as many of us cannot afford an old Somdej WRK by AC Toh.

Somdej means "Supreme". Somdej amulets are good for promoting protection, wealth, fortune, smooth endeavour, success, confidence, cari makan, dispelling evil, metta, etc. It is also a good choice for students searching for a suitable amulet for themselves.

RM200
