Maximum File DownlOad Size

Guys,

I've did some testing and found out that the maximum size of a file I can download with my BB Browser is about 25MB. Anything over that and I'll get a request entity too large.

Now, I've done some googling and this seems to be what was set on our default browser and the way people get through this is by using opera mini. People around the net all said there's no restriction using opera mini and they could download file of even bigger than 100mb. I've tried using opera but its still the same. 25MB is about the max. Anything above, my opera's download status won't move.

Have anyone had any success with this?
Googling also mentioned that if using opera mini and you could not go higher, it means there was a limit restriction at the telco side but digi said no such thing.

I'm using bold 9000 with digi bis unlimited.

VOIP For Blackberry

Hi,

I would like to know if we could make a phone call using Apps like Google Voice, Skype, BB Messenger or Windows Live Messenger to another user of the application, instead of calling to a handphone or landline which gets you charged ?

So for example, if it's WLM, we dial to the user through the App bypassing the service provider's voice packages and running solely on data plans ?

I know WLM can't do the above. But what about Google Voice and Skype .. or if you have any recommendation whereby I can make free calls to another blackberry user, please do enlighten me.

Thanks.

Wireless Problem !

Hey Guys,

Yea, I know it's another new thread on wireless connectivity problem. Wanted to leech on some other threads but their problem still hasn't been solve, which is why I've decided to just make a thread for myself.

Scenario :

1. 7 PCs ( Using Wireless Connection )
2. 2 PCs ( Using Wired )
3. 1 Notebook ( Using Wireless Connection )
4. 1 Wireless Router

Situation :
Basically, everything is connected to the Wireless Router via Wireless and Wired Connection. The Wireless Connectivity was great, everything was running perfectly till one morning ..

On that one morning, I couldn't get connectivity to access the Internet on all PCs.
Yup, both wireless and wired PC. However my Laptop is still running fine, Manage to go online through wireless.

The Error Message I've been getting on all the PCs are
** Limited or No Connectivity **

Few Troubleshooting Steps I've Done :

1. Plug the Laptop into the Wireless Router Port ( by means : using wired ) and
it failed.
2. Changing a new cable for the wired part, and it Failed too
3. Power off every router, PCs, Laptop and power them on at the same time
hoping to see some great connectivity established but still the same.
4. Remove all security functions ( MAC Filtering, WEP, etc etc ) .. I know you have
to remove this on both sides or else it'll fail .. been there, tried that .. fails too
5. ** All PCs and Notebook are using the exact same configuration, but the
Notebook still manages to get a connection, so i ruled out the possibility of
DHCP problem **
6. Restore Default on the Router, Fail too
7. Command Prompt -> "ipconfig /all" -> nothing on all the PCs, but it's fine for
the Notebook ( 10.0.0.7 )

============================================

Might be trying these out later on :

1. Remove DHCP as well, and assign static IPs on all
2. There might be some power problem with the Router/Power Adapter thus not
being able to transmit at a further range than previously, so move the Router
just beside the PC and try again
3. Considering the usage of a NetStumbler, but since all the PCs are not getting
any IP, I don't see the need for it

There are many more that I've done. Even if i were to rule that the Router Ports are faulty, it doesn't explain to me why are the PCs running Wireless Failing as well .. This isn't really my problem. A faraway friend of mine .. It's so far that i can't go there and have a look on my own, so i could only give a few advise through messenger and hoping that they'll be able to figure that out on their own.

Can anyone rectify the flaws in my steps above, and what are the various things that are needed to troubleshoot this particular problem ? ..

Thanks in advanced.
