Wireless Mouse+Keyboard with a broken USB dongle

I wanted to salvage this keyboard+mouse since they are still in good condition.

The only issue here is that the USB dongle handle has been broken, is there any solution to this? Will a new dongle be configured to control these keyboard+mouse combo?

Recommendation on Lavalier Mic (Wired vs Wireless)

Hello everyone, I've started this topic because I can't seem to find a thread that discusses about lavalier mic for vlog or videography purpose.

I'm actually seeking for one now and I'm not sure if I should go for a wired or wireless one. I plan to do some vlog at some time soon and I don't want to make a wrong purchase on a mic.

It will be used on my Micro Four Thirds Lumix camera.

For a country that rains on and off frequently, I had the thought that the long wire touching the ground and getting wet would not be a good idea.

At the same time, there's no reliable and reasonably priced wireless lavalier mic, or at least I don't know how to search well enough on that.

Could anyone advice on this?

Would definitely appreciate some sharing and thoughts on wired vs wireless lavalier mics.

A/C Leaking too often, HELP!

Hello everyone,

I have a huge concern about the place I'm staying. It is a 2 bedroom unit, so it comes with 3 A/C, 1 in hall, and 1 for each bedroom.

Every few months, I realise that my A/C in my bedroom will be leaking water, and it is annoying especially when it happens during my sleep.

So, the technician would use a vacuum to suck the "jelly" substances that caused the clog. That's the only thing that they could do. Is there a solution to this?

When they always charge me like this, eventually I'll go broke. I wonder too whether other condominium units have this issue.

Kindly advice, this is depressing as it's making my wallet thinner, sigh.

This machine is very suitable for VM work as there are 4 slots of RAM, that means more upgradability!
The wifi card was customized, Killer 1103 is a powerful wifi card. It is able to reach further access points and have good reception.
Easy to maintain, you can do the cleaning on your own as it is very easy to access the hardware components in the laptop.
I don't suggest gaming with this laptop since it is old, but you could use it for work and as a desktop replacement.

Monitor Suggestions used for photo editing/gaming

Hello everyone,

I am planning to buy a monitor soon and I'm looking at a range of 23"-24" IPS monitors.

Inputs that I need would be VGA, HDMI and Display Port but HDMI is the most important of all.

Since I'm using it partially for gaming, the input lag/response time should be less than 8ms and frequency/refresh rate of at least 60Hz, I hope.

More importantly, color gamut plays an important role for image editing, right? I'm more on entry/intermediate level for image editing.

I'm looking for at least 90% color gamut on SRGB.

With a budget of less than RM1000, what can I buy?

I have seen Dell and Asus but I'm open to other brands as well.

So far, I have checked the Dell U2414H but I want to know what other options I might have.

Features like low blue light, flicker free etc are bonus to me.

I am fine with either glossy or matte screens.
