Doberman(s) and Families

Family and I have a doberman, Okane since we moved into our new house about 7 years ago. He has been our family guardian and close buddy since then. Despite of inexperienced of owning a dog, we actually raise him up like a pet dog though Doberman has been known as a good guard dog. We did not send him for ear cropping to make him looks like a handsome & fearsome doberman like other doberman as we did not want him to go through unnecessary pain.

He is often;

- uncontrollable especially walking with him. Most of the time, he is the one who is dragging me throughout the whole walk.
- big eater. He eats seriously a lot and basically everything
- bully. Always bully another dog of us in any form
- sometimes smelly. Pretty much a character of a big breed though
- sometimes timid. Afraid of funky things like fan, bicycle and hair blower
- wants people to pet him like a toy dog (thanks to my dear sisters)
- clumsiness for hitting the wall because couldn't brake from running

but he is also often praised by others for his;

- good body shape as he has pretty big rack and shinny coat. There were many incidents that drivers actually stop by their car to praise him while we walked him on the street.
- very alert even to small things. We had experience that a cobra and unknown snakes moves into our house and thanks to him for alerting us.

However, yesterday I noticed that Okane acted strangely. He no longer wants to eat, walking fairly slowly, have gummy stool. He just looks terribly sick. He walked to me slowly and stand by me wanting me to caress him. And I didn't. I watered his head thinking that he is acting to me like he used. Sigh, was i wrong after observing him for half an hour at the garden. This morning, we quickly bought him to vet and doctor told us that it could be caused by heat stroke or worst case could be a cancer after observing from his symptom. Our family is praying hard that it was a heat stroke but not otherwise. Now, Okane is still refuse to eat as we also tried many different foods and method. So, we just hope that he recovers as fast as possible.

In fact, our family (my aunty) just lost their doberman, Timmy last month due to common disease for large dog. Before the end of Timmy's life, he is barely able to stand up until vet suggest to end Timmy's life peacefully. The pain was unbearable. It hurts as bad as losing someone important in life as Timmy grew up with us.

baby okane
Grown up okane

Sorry if the article may have bored some of you here. I am writing this to share and hoping that Okane will heal for the next 2-3 days. Sorry for being a terrible writer as well.

4WD Accessories Shop (HATYAI)

Dear all,

I am planning a driving trip to Hatyai with friends by my new toy, a Nissan Navara D40. Major of the agenda is to get the accessories and installed there as well. Thus, I may need a little good advices from all fellow senior truckers who may have a clue which shop to go as I have never been to the Hatyai. Perhaps, I have done some researches on several forum and google as well, it didn't turn out too many information for new trucker like me.

Any suggestion and ideas will be greatly appreciated. Cheers, and may everyone have a good day ahead.
