System Restarts Randomly While Gaming

Hi all,

I am experiencing some random PC restarts while playing Overwatch. It happens without any warning and with no identifiable patterns.

Here is my system specs:

Processpr: Intel - Core i5-8400 2.8GHz 6-Core
Motherboard: Gigabyte - GA-B360M Aorus Gaming 3
Graphic Card: Strix-GTX1060 6GB
RAM: Kingston KVR26N19S8/8 8GB
PSU: SF-500P14MS SuperFlower Leadex Silver Eco 500W
SSD: Samsung 860EVO 250GB

Under "Event Viewer", there is a list of Critical Level events and the "Source" states Kernel-Power (Event ID: 41).

Is the PSU the cause? This whole rig is only about 1 year + 3 months..

Please help, this is getting really frustrating.

Hi everyone,

I never thought I would ever post something here but I suppose there is always a first time for everything.

Anyway, here's my story:

I recently got to know this girl at work. For the first few months after she joined, there was nothing going on and we only spoke when there was a need.

However things started to change sometime towards the end of July where she started calling me sweet nicknames, in a joking manner (Not when there are lots of people around) like “lao kong” or husband in Cantonese.

We exchanged phone numbers in August and we started texting simple texts to each other on a daily basis up till the end of August. She also told me she hoped we could be “good partners” or “one team”. Those were her exact words used and we do not work in the same department. Sometimes she would randomly text me things like “What are you doing now?”, “Have you eaten?”, “Are you asleep yet”, "Come accompany me at my table", etc

Sometime in mid-August, we went out as a group where I drove. She sat in the front and we spent the whole day going around. At the end of the trip, I text-ed her saying I really enjoyed the day and hoped to go out again one day.

The next week, she hinted to me that she would like to go for a movie during the weekend. I then proceeded to ask her out on Saturday for a movie. She asked me if we should ask our mutual friend(s) but I said “No”. She agreed immediately. I felt that we enjoyed ourselves enough that night. During the drive home, she told me she wasn't going to be around during the Merdeka weekend as she was going away. I had no idea why she told me that but I accepted it. I text-ed her saying I had a great time and we should go out again sometime, to which she agreed.

On Wednesday, the next week, I text-ed her asking if she would like to go out for dinner that night. She replied asking “Dinner date ah? I'm kinda tight on money right now la haha”. I told her it WAS a dinner date and I would pay for our meals to which she agreed. It was kinda late (around 9.30pm) by the time we reached the restaurant as she gets off work late. We spent time talking about all sorts of things (her family, work, her uni life, etc) till about 11.30pm. As it was kinda late, we decided that there was nothing much we could so we decided to continue our conversation in the car. We talked, laughed and there was some flirting and we ended at about 1.45am. I strongly believe we both enjoyed ourselves that night.

So the Thursday & Friday before the long weekend, we continue our texts as usual. On Friday before I left work, I told her we should do something next week (i.e this week) and she said “You ask me first la, scared I not free” to which I said OK. I didn't think much of that.

We didn't really text much during the weekend but I did message her on Monday asking how was she and has she eaten. She replied with a few words to which I thought she could be busy.

So just last night, I asked her if she was free some time this weekend. She told me her younger brother may be coming down and she wants to spend time with him. But if he wasn't going to make it, then we could go out this weekend. She told me to whatsapp her later in the week to confirm.

For some reason, I kinda sense that her attitude towards me has changed and it just started this week. Or maybe I'm overthinking and being over-sensitive?

We have not been texting each other for a 2 days now. As I couldn't understand, I asked a mutual friend (whom is a female) to investigate. This mutual friend informed me that this girl felt that she wasn't ready for any serious relationship at the moment and is more comfortable being friends. This friend also told me that she told her it could be because she has been lonely for such a long time now. My friend also told me it has nothing to do with me.

So here I am, left hanging, not knowing how to respond. I've not spoken to her today and in some subconscious level, I believe I'm actually avoiding her. Do I continue to pursue her after knowing she's not ready for anything at the moment? Is she actually not ready?? Should I still pursue but at a slower pace? What should I do now? Am I being overly sensitive over her changed/unchanged behaviour towards me?

I would appreciate some advice from you guys.

Transferring content from old iphone to new

I am thinking of purchasing a new iphone.

I would like to know how I can transfer all my stuff from the old iphone to the new. What I mean by stuff actually covers every single thing (is that possible?) such as messages, phone contacts, emails, photos, music, whatsapp/wechat/line messages, videos, etc.

I read that you could do it using iCloud but does it cover everything I mentioned above?

Windows Media Player 12 Problem

I'm encountering a problem with my WMP 12. Whenever I try to play a certain video file, I get this message:

"Windows Media Player has stopped working. Windows can check online for a solution to the problem"

It only happens to certain video files, not all. This problem just happened today.

Any ideas?

Cannot boot into Windows

Hi all,

My situation goes like this:

Few hours ago, my dad was using the PC to do his work. As we were about to leave for dinner, he logged off his account and left the PC running there.

When we came back, I tried logging into my user account and I noticed that the PC was extremely sluggish. It couldn't even boot into desktop and it simply shows "Welcome".

After waiting for about 5 mins, I decided to manually restart my PC using the power button.

Now, I'm not even able to get into the user selection screen and my PC boots into a black screen after all the bios detection part.

Please help !

How to edit segments of text via Notepad

Hi all

The following is a sample of what I'm trying to edit on Notepad:

Firstly, I would like to remove the KBS0001 to KBS00010 segment of the texts.

However, I would like to do so while maintaining the current distance between KB and ABC/DEF/GHI.

I do not want to backspace because it would require me to tab back the text to the position I would like and for some reason, tabbing messes up the text when viewed on different platforms.

I've tried using the "Replace" function by replacing "KBS" with an empty space but the numbers still remain.

Any suggestions?

Being a guarantor for a friend

Hey all,

I have been using Streamyx for about 4+ years now. It started out very well but things begin to go down hill in 2007 and just recently, they started giving out poor IPs and the speed was affected again. I use the Internet for World of Warcraft, surfing and the occasional downloading. So the question here is, should I change to Jaring Wired? And yes, I have confirmed with Jaring that my phone line has the required port for their service.

Comp problem

Okay, I was using the PC for hours and it was fine but suddenly every word goes missing in my Firefox browser and all I could see were lines! The word "Start" on the start button goes missing as well! When I minimize my Firefox, I will be seeing lines instead of the site's name. I can't save my print screen because it says "Cannot copy image from clipboard" whenever I tried pasting it on Paint.

I've scanned my comp and there are no viruses. Any ideas?

Problem when viewing Youtube on FFox

Hi guys,

Recently, I'm unable to watch the videos on youtube even after the buffering is complete. I will only be able to watch the first 2 seconds and the video will stop. I've tried uninstalling my flash player and installed the latest version and it did solve my problem but this was only temporary. As of now, I'm unable to watch any of the videos on youtube beyond 2 seconds.

Any ideas? Thanks!
