Best Buffet for Authentic Malaysian Cuisine?

Hi everyone,

I have a foreign friend visiting and I’d love to bring them to try some authentic Malaysian food.
I’m not looking for Japanese, Korean, or international-style buffets — just a place that really showcases our local flavours.

Ideally, I’m looking for a buffet restaurant that serves a good variety of Malaysian dishes, including nyonya kuih and other local favourites.
Price isn’t the main concern — what matters most is that the food is tasty and worth it, since I’ll be joining too!

Would really appreciate any recommendations.

Any Japanese Buffet with Unagi in Klang Valley?

Hi all,

I used to frequent Genji Japanese Restaurant for their weekend buffet, which, although quite pricey at around RM200 per adult, was well worth it—especially because they served Unagi as part of the buffet spread. While it definitely wasn’t an everyday kind of meal, it was a great way to treat myself and my family once in a while.

Unfortunately, it seems that Genji has stopped offering their buffet, which is quite a pity.

I was wondering if any fellow LYN forum brothers and sisters know of any other Japanese buffets in the Klang Valley (or nearby) that serve good-quality Unagi as part of the buffet? Would love to hear your recommendations!

60cm fence by the condo windows

Happy new year, hope Covid free 2021
My condo has full windows wall as attached photo, but I am not comfortable to leave children like that. I searched online and got this metal fence ideas, but I would prefer to make a 60cm bricks+cement fence by the windows instead.
My question is,
a) can I do this bricks+cement fence in my condo? Do i need management office approval ?
b) any recommendation for builder or handy man for this ?

Wechat proxy setting to bypass network block

I am using Wechat on my windows 7 laptop, but recently my office network blocked it, and I cannot send/receive message nor call with it.
Is there any way to bypass it? I noted there is proxy setting, but tried to google, but cannot find any useful tutorial how to use it.
Appreciate fellow LYN members can point where should I start investigating or give a tutorial.

SERIOUS developer request interest after 2.5 yrs

Dear all,

i bought a house with Yuk Tung developer November 2012.
the first payment from maybank mortgage to developer was a bit slow, late for about 3 weeks.
but the developer didnt ask for anything, so nothing is done.

now, the house is about to finish, and i receive a letter from Yuk Tung asking for the late payment interest.

"Please be informed that there are late payment interest charged on the following invoice(s).
kindly settle the following interest charges to us as soon as possible.

Interest for late payment
Stage 2, 21/11/2012 - 12/12/2012 (22 days) @ 10% pa RM250"

i feel this is a bit unreasonable.
if the developer want to charge me, please charge me that time so that i can blame the lawyer or bank, so that they will waive the payment.
but now, after 2.5 years, the contact person at the lawyer firm already left. the maybank mortgage agent also already left Maybank..
i dont know how to talk to the lawyer firm and maybank for a case happen 2.5 years ago.

please advise what to do for this case...
yes, they may be right to request for interest, but feel this is a unreasonable demand from the developer after 2.5 years.

hi all..
i am 27, male, 80kg/170cm
i start feeling my left chest in pain recently... i think from weekend..
last time i feel this only when i am angry and arguing with my girl friend, and it is just the moment only..

the pain isn't very strong, but it is just annoying.. feeling uncomfortable..
it happen to be exact same place everytime..

hi, due to work traveling, i need to back from Melaka (eye of Malaysia) to KL, afternoon around 2-3pm, weekday.
(dont ask me to drive, just simply cannot)

1) how long to travel from eye of malaysia to Melaka central? (colleague will drive me there)
2) do "melaka central to KL" bus, available on the spot? i dont need to buy ticket earlier?
3) the "melaka central to KL" bus available every hour or what? what company? transnational? konsortium?
4) what route will it be taking? i hope the bus could drop me at serdang R&R station (the KL-seremban highway)
5) how long will it take from melaka central to KL?
6) how much the ticket?

i am totally new and noob in taking bus, please guide me, in details.

my sound volume control there showing orange color.. (normal is green color)
sound volume control - just click the speaker icon on your task bar (beside the clock..) - the bar that adjust the volume
the bar is orange color on my computer.. and i cannot get sound on my speaker.. i read thought the help file, but nothing help..

i am looking for a 22" LCD, but not urgent, so i just subscript to the Display Cards & Monitors forum so that i can follow up all the LCD sale there.

but the problem is, all the post at Display Cards & Monitors coming to my email.. this make it difficult to trace LCD sale only..

well, since low yat already have filter system in displaying topic, why not implement the filter in Forum Subscriptions also??
