Yo guys, I am starting this thread to get our Malaysian friends who will be going to NUS or already in NUS to come in and get to know one another.
SONY CYBERSHOT DSC-T200

I was seraching for a compact cam to replace my IXUS i for quite some time and then i was comtemplating between T100 or 850 or 950 IS. Then i realised SONY was gonna release a T200, touch screen! OKay, by then my problem was solved. T200 is the way to go. I dint know when it will be coming to ASIA, it was launch in USA and EUROPE alrdy. Until ytd while i was walking in CITYLINK mall (singapore, yes, im in singapore atm) i saw those huge sony advertisement for COMEX (pc fair equivalent) displaying all SONY's product along the walkway and i saw T200 ! omg, i straight away make my way towards the exhibition hall.

SONY has its own EXPO in one single level, while other brands are collectively exhibiiting in a common hall. SONY has various section and all their products are on display and free to touch, not sure if any alpha is on display as well... nonetheless, i squeeze thru the crowd and play with the cam for awhile...

at first, i was rather confused with the functions as the interface is completely new, though i dont own a T100, i have played one frequent enuf in sony style to get familiar with the functions. Then the sales promoter demo some basic functions like smile shutter, zoom and etc.. and i asked her about the TOUCH focus, which focus on the point which u touch, and she shook her head, -.-' wad a noob! but nvm, i go ahead and buy one since its rather price inelastic to a person like me who waited for so long and has a caze for touchie stuff. Then, the camera come with some free gifts, 2gb of MEMORY stick pro duo, cleaning kit plus tiny tripod (useless), screen protector, cybershot casing, sony leather landyard, and +20 dollars for another 2gb of MEMORY stick pro duo (optional). Not some spectacular gift but better then none i suppose. The camera cost 699SGD which is about 1607.7 RM at current exchange rate.

My experience....
1. Touch screen is really enjoyable, the screen is quite responsive, a slight press will execute whatever the function you pressed.
2. Smile shutter, works wonder! it really capture smileS, AUTOMATICALLY. Just focus and press the shutter, and ask ur subject to smile, and 'SNAP', done.
3. Touch Focus, quite useful, i m a photog noob, so i dun really know abt focus and stuff, but quite handy when it comes to touch and focus. very simple.
4. Replay of photos is the BEST in this camera after the touch. Its 3.5 inch screen makes viewing photo so pleasant, its a camera that you want to show your friends and you wont feel embarass showing your friend even the ugliest shot of urs thru this 3.5 inchie! Its clear and bright and wide!
5. Noise level is still same as the T100 i think, when photo taken in low light condition the noise is still quite apparent, dunno how to judge also...
6. ANTIBLUR. not sure if its good, coz my old cam dun even have one, no chance to compare. But one thing is, once its activated, the image shake less compare to when its off.
7. Editing the picture is very fun, its jus like neoprint! The camera comes with a stylus and you can write onto your photos and it wont overwrite your original file, but creating a new one!
8. Face detection is cool, it jus follows the face of the person whenever he moves.. cool...
9. Lastly, the burst mode is very good, very fast. i dunno how fast is fast, its jus faster then my old cam.. hahax..

thx for reading... can ask me any question abt it, i dunno what else to describe le.. see ya!

2nd Gen Ipod Shuffle

woohooo... jus gotten my new shuffle, well all i could say is the design is fabulous, some say that the clip might be weak, to me is quite alright but i find the transfering of songs into the players is a bit slow, but noneltheless, great design pays off everything, for its price of SGD 138 and tiny-ness, i would say its worth it if u hav the extra cash and u desire for style...

*waiting patiently for leopard/true ipod video/zune now.. hahax...
