Gaming Monitor Recommendation

I'm currently using AOC monitor (and i forgot the model as I'm typing this at my workplace). I remembered it's 23" LED Monitor. Few months back, I noticed the top right corner of my monitor suddenly is dimmer than the rest. Looks to me like of on the light bulb blow? At first I'm bothered by it but as it is only in one corner, I just ignored it.

However, starting last week, suddenly the right edge of the screen is dimmer as well. I tried restarting and it happen again after awhile and then it stuck there forever. Now it looks like half of the screen is dimmed. Can anyone explain how this happen and can it be fixed? I have been using it for about 4 years. doh.gif

Let's say if it can't be fixed or costly to fix, can you recommend me what type of monitor is good? I've tried searching the forum but mostly i saw a recommendation is on Dell U2311H but most of the recommendation date was from 2011. Is it still good or is there a better one?

Below are my details IF ]I have to get a new one:

1. Budget: below 1k (the lower, the better of course. I got experience when I say below 1k, people offer me 990+ pricing stuff)
2. Item: Monitor
3. Purpose: Mostly gaming - latest PC games.
4. Intended purchase date: Either November or December
5. Preference: LED Monitor, 23" inch or anything better.

Please help~

Playstation 3 - Multiple problem!

My PS3 was running fine before this with no issue whatsoever. One day, it was hard for me to start up my PS3. Everytime I press the on button, the light will turn from red to green then suddenly it gives 3 beeps with the red light. I will need to press about 10 times or more only, then only I can play my PS3. It happens again when I was playing games but not that often (my progress though..).

I've googled this up and figured that maybe my harddisk was not mounted properly as I saw some fixes says that they just take off and insert back the hard disk. I tried to do the same with some basic cleaning to remove the dust and all and notice some burn marks on it (maybe that's the problem?). Problem still occurs after I've done this. At first I thought, it's ok. I can still play the game after I try to turn on my PS3 for a few times.

BUT! After playing GTA5 (and almost completing it too), the problem occurs again and I have to start my PS3 again only to find another problem - My PS3 can't detect any disc that I insert in it. Saw this post "GTA 5 broke my PS3" but it's kind of hard to believe.

I tried to googled this problem up next and I read that rebuild the OS might fix this problem. I try to do so but since the OS rebuilding will need to restart the PS3 and with my PS3 problem having to start up, it only goes to an endless "OS rebuilding" mode.

Although I already have a PS4, I still wanted to play my PS3. There are still tons of game that I haven't play yet and there are still some games they're releasing for PS3 only.

Do you guys have any suggestion on how to fix this?
I don't mind if my saved game is cleared as I've finished all my games (except for GTA 5)
My only hope now is Playstation Now

3D LED monitor information needed~

Can anyone tell me is there a 3D LED monitor in Malaysia? Or maybe Singapore? If there is, how much it cost? My dad went to Singapore once but they only have 1 3D LCD monitor and it did not support HDMI

ps3 to HD LCD

1st of all, i'm new in the forum. So, I don't know where should I post this topic.

I just bought my PS3 and an HD LCD. It's viewsonic brand, VX2433. I bought the HDMI to HDMI cable. But when i turn on the PS3, the screen doesn't show anything. Just blank. So, i connect my PS3 wif the AV cable to the normal tv, and there's the menu. Then, I connect the HDMI cable to the LCD, and the AV cable to the normal tv. At the display oustput setting, i chose HDMI. Then both of the screen is blank. what should I do? T.T help plzzz
