Any alternative external flash for Canon SX20IS?

The original Canon external flash are a bit expensive for me as a newbie.

The cheapest already cost RM500.

Any alternative external flash at around RM100-300 (but reliable one)?

I'm a newbie on this camera.

Just want to ask that can this camera snap a picture by zoom in a bird 5-10 meter away until it occupied about 3 quaters of whole screen and the bird should be clear with blur background?

If yes, what setting should I choose?

Or this can only done by dslr camera?

The FUJI FinePix S1500 semi-pro D.camera is sell at RM999.

Can any one give some comment on it compare to other semi-pro camera?

Why it is so cheap?
