Car drove thru flood...

Yesterday when picking my other car from the workshop, I had to drive thru about 1ft high of flood, for about 100m distance... the car (Altis) is still alright. Still can move today but worried if water got in the engine wadsoever... the flood condition is similar to the attached picture.

However, my other car also drove thru the same flood, engine didn't stall and still could drive around. But today white smoke started coming out of the car!! That car has been sent to the workshop to check already.

Now I'm worried about the Altis. What should I do about it? What kind of damages can the flood cause to the car? And what kind of repairs would I need? Please advise me!!

Dear all,

I've just purchased a Canon EOS 500-D with 18-55mm lens kit yesterday alongside with some accessories, at a camera shop in Sg Wang.

The price of the camera was a fair drop at RM3,150 (RRP 3,663) which included 4gb Nikon SDHC memory card, 1x Sakure D-pod TR-38 Digital Tripod, and a camera bag (I opted for the Digieye 1188 Medium Long Nose Case instead of the big red ugly Canon EOS free one...).

Then, knowing that I was a noob in photography, the sales assistant recommended me to add on some accessories...

GGS 3.0" LCD Screen protector = RM100 (he said normal price RM100++++)
Digital Optics 0.45 x 58mm wide lens (some kind of macro lens and wide angle lens adapter thingy...) = RM680 (dropped from his price tag of RM899)
Digital King 58mm UV slim filter = RM350 (dropped from his price tag of RM400-RM500+ didn't give me the packaging or show me the price tag even)
Digieye 5 in 1 cleaning kit = RM60

Altogether these stupid add-ons costed me additional RM1,190!!

Today when i surfed the net, i realised that these accessories are only HALF or even QUARTER The price he sold to me!

I just want to get your opinion whether is this the standard pricing set in camera shops? Or the SA simply conned me?? Can I actually bring those stuff back and ask for refund?
