My Server PC cannot power on

I previously purchased a custom built server PC from a friend (no longer a friend now) and it cannot be powered on. When pressing the power button on the case, it only blink blue once, with no response to other parts of the PC. LAN port with Ethernet cable is blinking though.

Can it be power supply failure? or Mobo Failure? Anyone knows where i can carry this PC in for technician to check and replace any broken items? I stay in Sri Petaling. so anywhere near like PJ, Bukit Jalil or Puchong is fine. Preferably lower ground shop as this is a full size PC and its super heavy compared to my gaming pc.

I tried to swap the power supply with my gaming pc but eventually give up coz the socket connection is different, only the 24P to MoBo is same, the rest is different.

Windows 10 Black Screen when starting up

Hi, I have a problem today when starting up my gaming pc it will show a total black screen with “underscore” sign and nothing else. There is no option to go into BIOS setting, no windows logo no mouse cursor, nothing. I have googled and tried to hard reset by pressing the power button to power up and when it shows the black screen i hold the power button again till it shut off, i tried many many times but when there was once it managed to boot up normally but there is a constant beep sound, at first i thought its ok so i restart using windows menu, but end up its the same. So i tried over and over again its just hit and miss and I managed to go into windows for the second time. This time i plug in my USB bootable windows 10 and try to install a new copy, but when it restarts by itself, i end up the same black screen. And for the 3rd time it says continue to install windows but then now no matter what i do its just showing black screen.

May i know what’s wrong with my pc? At first i suspect its lightning strike but can’t be as i managed to login twice. Can it be my SSD damaged? I have been hard resetting the whole day and i m giving up. Can i just drop in to any pc shop and will they be able to assists me to fix? Since i buy all my pc parts on shopee and self assemble so there isn’t any help i can get from physical shop. Would anyone be kind enough to assist? The result i googled is not helpful as most says to go into recovery mode or go into BIOS. I would like to fresh install windows and its ok to loose everything in the pc as i mainly use it for gaming only.

PS4 Controller on IPad Pro 2020

I got a PS4 DS4 controller to play COD Mobile on my IPad Pro 2020, i have no problem pairing it via Bluetooth, but there are times whereby its not functioning but it still shows connected (even display the battery status icon on the widgets). It’s nice when it works, but sometimes just before the game started, it has no response on the controller. I check under COD controller setting and it shows connected but just wouldn’t work. The only way is to restart the game and it’s frustrating as u have to complete the game on iPad itself. And also quite a few times it just looses control for a few seconds and keep turning the player in circles. I am wondering if anyone has the same problem. Will Xbox controller works better?

I don’t own a PS4 console so i dun know the color status meaning on the controller. But somehow when its connected there is this yellow light bar that’s constantly on. Is there anyway i can change the color?

Lightning / usb c to micro usb cable

Hi, does anyone which cable is good for connecting iphone (lightning) and ipad pro (usb-c) to Chord Mojo (micro usb)? I have both devices that i would like to connect my Mojo to. I bought a usb-c to micro usb adapter and connect the Mojo via the micro usb cable but it doesnt work on my ipad pro. i tried to search online and on shopee but most are really cheap china cables or converter which i think will not work. so if anyone know kindly provide me with some info. i dont want to use the Apple CCK cable as its too bulky and troublesome to use.

Error : Reboot & Select Proper Boot Devices

Need some advise from all pro bro here. It’s my first time building a gaming pc. Windows 10 is installed on the M.2 SSD and I have another 4TB HDD connected to SATA1 port. Everything was working fine until I tried to make the 4TB HDD usable as by default the HDD is in MBR and I need to convert it to GPT in order to use the full 4TB. I copied data over to the HDD and I shut the pc off last nite. This morning when I restart I have this problem as captioned above. I think it’s the BIOS setting problem but I tried to turn off booting from the HDD and even put back the default BIOS booting sequence and everything is still the same. Wondering if anyone have this knowledge to assist. The BIOS setting is as photo attached.

BIOS setting if I change it to only UEFI, it will reboot back directly into BIOS, if change to Legacy + UEFI, it will show the above error. The last pic if I disable HDD also same error msg.

I also change the boot sequence so that boot #1 is the Adata SX8200 Pro with all the rest disabled and problem still the same.

NZXT H510 Elite case

I am in the process of building my very first PC with MSI B450 Tomahawk Max and NZXT H510 Elite vase and have some issues on connecting the case wiring to Mobo:

1. F. Panel wire socket I use the supplied splitter instead as I am not sure if this Mobo JFP1 connection is the same but somehow it doesn’t have Reset Switch. I check on the F. Panel socket also total 6 wires Power LED, Power Switch and HDD LED. So meaning this case doesn’t comes with Reset switch?

2. Connecting the case fans and LED? The only cable I know how to connect is the SATA power that comes from the case fan/led module, 1 goes to my HDD and another to this case SATA socket. But I still saw 2 sockets hanging loose without connection, 1 seems to be the 4pins socket LED with a cap on and another 3pins socket seems to be the fan. Anyone knows how to connect this to motherboard? Image of this 2 sockets as attached.

can anyone advise which system is best suited for 1440P gaming and will it work properly with my intended Monitor BenQ EX2780Q (IPS, 1440P, 144Hz)? Would it be better to opt for an UltraWide monitor? i have never used an UltraWide so i have no idea, if so pls recommend me prefer IPS panel. Also would appreciate if can recommend me on the wireless gaming keyboard and mouse (did youtube and seems like Logitech G502 Lightspeed is pretty good, but have no idea on keyboard)

As its my first system i just wanna make sure everything works find before i start building. I want something that falls just before the laws of diminishing return area. Where do u guys usually get your PC hardware via Shopee or from Lowyat PC Shop? Physical shop is kind of headache as there are way too many shops and dunno which one to choose.

Back from overseas to KL

Hi guys, I am stranded in overseas and waiting for malaysia high comm to arrange chartered flight back to KL. I am aware of the compulsory quarantine at designated areas. I also read how disgusting the places are in sabah. I am wondering if there is any option for self funding at better and cleaner places? And if allowed to self funding stay in hotel, why not allowed to self quarantine at home in KL?

Is there any update on better quarantine places since it’s 14day stay and not 2days stay. I m not lookin for 5 star places but something that we all feel comfortable to stay in for 2 weeks.

Wallet apps

Is there any apps similar to Android "Safe Wallet"? I have tried a few but none gives the same feel. Basically need a wallet app to note down credit cards detail, bank account, login username and password all in a single app.

Tried Lemon wallet today but it basically scans the whole card front and back doesn't give the option to note pin.

Apple Mac Mini as media player

Currently own Marantz PM6003 n CD6003 with Mordant Short Aviano bookshelf for hifi. M using ipod to play lossless music n WD elements media player for movie. Managed to let go this set and thinking of upgrading my set. Speaker wise I will be using Pro Ac bookshelf. Amp n cd player not yet decided coz ifI m still going to use ipod, the only upgrade would be the 7004 series.

So I intend to get a Mac Mini as my media player for apple lossless music and external hdd for downloaded movie. Have a few concerns:

1. Since Mac mini only has a headphone output for sound, would this have a restrict to my sound quality as I can only use headphone to RCA cable. Any good cable to recommend?

2. How about remote control? Would the apple remote control be sufficient to control around?

3. Last time I have problem setting up my tv with my macbook pro as I cant force it to be full screen. It will have those black edges on two sides. Would the problem still exist? Or maybe I didnt setup properly last time.

Does anyone knows how many iDevice can be used on 1 AppleID? coz i already have the following and now waiting for my iphone5 :

i only know that we can have 5 computers used for syncing iDevices. but i have no idea how many iDevices can be connected to a single AppleID account.
