Insurance for newbie

I have heard of medical card, life insurance, investment link but i'm confuse which one should i go for. They told me investment link is very risky and ask me to go for medical card and life insurance. But investment link include insurance aldy, so wats the best choice i have? I have not purchase any insurance policy before.
I would like to know what are the things shall i concern.

Unable to uninstall WinfaxPro 10.0

I tried to remove it, but its still in my system. I follow the guide in symantec, remove registry, clear temp, use Acronis and other uninstaller, but the program is still there. It hung my pc all the time, anyone with better solutions?

SATA Hard Disk setup

I'm using a MSI PM8M2-V motherboard, using VT8237R chipset. Right now the BIOS did not show the Hard Disk. Where can i find it in the BIOS? there's no SATA configuration there. The hard disk is okie, i can use it on other pc without any problem.

I use another IDE hard disk and manage to load windows, and found that the SATA RAID Controller is not install. I downloaded the driver from the Internet but it's not working.

Pros out there please advise.

I have problem download files from the Internet especially .zip files.
Warning : Your Current Security Settings do not allow this file to be downloaded

Troubleshooting steps that i've done :
Check <Internet option> settings.
Reset web settings.
Configure the Internet security to low.
Restore default values in Advanced

Remove IE, reinstall IE

Turn off pop up blocker

Turn off windows firewall

Uninstall avg anti virus

Uninstall spybot

I manage to download the file using mozilla firefox. i wonder why i cant do it in IE6 which i was able to do it before.

Anymore advise?

Still have last option to go, reformat i know

But there's nothing wrong with my system now, just that couldnt download particular file type only.

So is there any place in windows i can view my current security settings and make changes to it?

HardDisk Problem

I have a maxtor pata hard disk Maxtor 40GB but when i install it shows 60GB, and why is that? refurbished unit?

I used this hdd for quite some time already, as a backup drive only. There is another WD hdd which i use it as primary.

I reformatted my primary hdd (WD hdd alone, Maxtor already unplug)
Once i finished all the installations and reinstall my Maxtor hdd and reboot pc, i found that my Maxtor hdd is missing in My Computer.
I have two partitions in the Maxtor hdd, all backups are in there. I went to disk management and then reinstate the maxtor hdd and right now it shows unallocated with only one volume.

There's nothing wrong with the jumper, the hdd is shown in BIOS.
I never change basic to dynamic. I nvr delete the partition.

Can anyone help?
