Hello everyone, here is my review after 1 month plus with TP LINK NC450, which is a HD Pan/Tilt Wi-Fi Camera.

The price is around RM300++ in the market. You can always get it from online store or walk in to any physical store.

The main key features of this product are:
a) NC450 sees up to 360 degrees horizontally and 150 degrees vertically
b) NC450 comes with 2-way audio communication.
c) NC450 allows user to put in SD-card so you can save your video based on motion or audio detection setting.

I have tried it out for 1 month plus.

The only trouble I got is it cant connect to YES network, no idea why but it works well with streamyx and Unifi

Setting up is easy as ABC, just download the tpCamera app and click ADD, then it will do the rest for you.

In the app, you can set the QUALITY of the picture and the MODE as well. Pan and tilt your camera by using the apps as remote control.

Very satisfied with this product as the quality of the picture is better and it can "see" well in the dark as well.

My suggestion: Maybe TP-Link can set up remote on and off button in the apps as there is no physical on and off button on the camera. Other than that, 5 star product.

What I love the most about this model?
the 9dBi antennas and the High Power Boost Wireless Range

I have used it for 1 whole month and I would say that it covers a lot more than normal router.

The heat emitted from the router is lesser compared to my 8961, it maybe because of the design of the router itself.

I tried to walk around the house to check for dead zones and sadly, I couldn't find one.

It was able to fix the dead zone issue, due to the long range antenna and the wall penetrating Wifi signal.

It can be used for 3 modes (Router/ Range extender/ Access point)

The setting up is user friendly and simple as not all are tech savvy right?

How to set up?

There are 2 methods.

1st is using WPS method, just switch on the extender and press the button, then you are good to go.

Today, I wish to do a review about TPLINK USB3.0 4 Port Portable Hub, model number UH400.

This model functions without any external power. Just simple plug and play which is very convenient for those who are having 1 or 2 USB hub on their laptop.

Let’s look at the specification first shall we?

Dimensions = 2.8 x 2.8 x 0.7 in. (71 x 71 x 16.6 mm)
Output Interface = 4 USB 3.0 Ports
Input Interface = USB 3.0 Type-A

Temperature – warm but its acceptable
Image quality – its 0.3 megapixel and the quality of the picture is acceptable. Since not all area is covered with LTE connection, we fight face some delay if the picture quality is HD or FHD.
Night view – you will need external light sources.
Storage – when I pressed record button, stated there 12.00.00 [I think it means 12 hours of recording online]
Delay – 1 to 2 seconds only, which is very good
Notification – You can set your email for intruder notification. First go to 192.168.1.101 then set the place for movement detection, set up email *ask Mr Google, then voila, you will get email if there is any movement at the specific place.
Price – Very cheap, RM105 only

How to set up? Easy as ABC

Plug the smaller unit to socket and lan cable to the router [in my case, I tested ZOOM YES]

Then the bigger unit in another socket [I didn’t go far] just 20 feet from the router.

Turn on the smaller unit and press PAIR button for 1 second.

Turn on the bigger unit and press PAIR as well.

Press once wireless button on the bigger unit, you will get another wireless network named TPLINK_XXXX

The password for this will stated in a card in the box.

I used this as the ZOOM don’t have a WPS button, prevent me from cloning it.

The user review

1 – Range of the WiFi

In the room. WiFi signal 3 bar + YES signal 2/3 bars

100 meter plus from the room. WiFi signal 1 bar [YES zoom wireless network LOST]

I still get decent WiFi signal on the ground floor.

2 – Speed

Conclusion
1 - This is a must have for double storey or 3 storey house.
2 - For the quality of the unit, I would say its decent and I have no problem with it.
3 - The best feature would be the WiFi Clone button which makes setting things easier and faster. [same password and same network name]
4 - Performance was good, it’s good to go from the box, no need any complicated setting.[speed might decrease a little if you are too far]
5 - It offers wider range of wireless signal.

If you are getting irritated by the speed drops while others are downloading something on the other end, D2 AC750 of the TP-LINK family is your best option.

Product Description/Overview

1 - D2 is combination of ADSL modem and Wi-Fi router.

You can add in USB modem as well for backup, just in case the streamyx is not functioning properly.

2 - It delivers 2.4GHZ, 300Mbps and 5GHZ 433Mbps connections.

3 - For the 3 dual band antenna, it covers the Wi-Fi signal in more area.

I managed to test it by walking outside of my house where W8961ND gives me 1 bar of Wi-Fi and D2 gives me 2 bars of Wi-Fi coverage.

4 - Temperature of the modem I would say that it’s surprisingly cool.

I have used it for 1 whole day and when I touch it, I would consider it to be in normal range of heat. I think it’s due to the design and the bottom of the modem that full of holes. Refer to the pictures below and you will know what i mean.

Ok, now lets talk about user [my] experience.

Its always starts with SETTING UP the modem right?

There are 2 modes of setting up, AUTO DETECT and MANUAL

I have tried both and all seems well to me.

For the AUTO DETECT, its is very useful for those who don't know anything [maybe he didn't read the manual]

[Features that I find the most USEFUL

1 - Parental Control

Parents should be using this easily to monitor/control which URL that their kids cannot wander into. It is very direct and easy to use. Punch in the MAC address and the URL then VOILA

2 - Guest Network

You can control the bandwidth of the network for guest as well

Pros of the product
• Good WiFicoverage – due to the 3 dual band antenna
• Well balanced distributed speed
• Value for money

Cons of the product
• Sudden disconnect.
For 1 month I have tested it, this irritates me the most, My laptop will suddenly disconnect from the wireless and when I reconnect it, its back to normal *maybe because there are too many WiFi signal at my area and I need to change the band to make it normal.

Comparison of 2.4GHz and 5GHz

based on 2.4 vs 5

Summary:
5GHz has a shorter range compared with 2.4GHz;
The 2.4GHz frequency is way more crowded than 5GHz, devices on 2.4GHz suffer much more interference than the ones on 5GHz;

And thus, im testing using ip6plus

on 2.4GHz = 4.24Mbps

*for my case, there is not much of difference, i think its because there are less interference of signal around my house

Conclusion
For this device, I can say that you won’t be disappointed by the performance, RRP price tag at RM299, the cons can be neglected. It distributes the speed among users well enough and covers Wi-Fi for a larger area. For the design and built quality, I consider this device as a beauty.
