Freedom to (use the) Love (reaction)?

Hi all,

I hardly post and comment on Lowyat Forum despite having an account for a very long time haha. Anyway, I have a bit of situation that I would like to discuss before I take any action so as to not create any unpleasant arguments.

I'm in a rather new relationship with my bf. I got to know him through Facebook Dating last August, and we only become a serious item as recently as February. But during the courting times last year, he wasn't just talking to me alone, but also to other girls as well. It got me really frustrated at the time because he was flirting with other girls while we had something physical going between us. To his defense, we were not officially together at the time and he only want something not serious as he was not financially better than me and he wasn't confident with himself to take responsible for what I want in a relationship (I'm 32 now, so naturally what I want is to settle down, while he's 29)

It wasn't until after Christmas when I told him that I want something more than just a fling and that I would try to help him in some finances that he began to see how serious I am in wanting this relationship to work, and things began to improve. Before I know it, we became serious and committed to each other. He also told me he stopped talking to those girls. So I guess I was comfortable for awhile.

We are Facebook friends, but only recently I started paying attention to how he reacts to other girls' Facebook profiles. If a girl is pretty and posted a selfie on Facebook, he wouldn't just "like" her photo, but he would "love" it. He has done that for some girls on Facebook, including those who he previously flirted with.

I'm feeling rather insecure at the moment because I'm not pretty, I'm only a Chinese, plus-sized and older, while these girls are young and from East Malaysia (my bf is a Sabahan working in Peninsular). I don't know if our relationship only came to fruition because of my insistence that we should be together or because of convenience of location. Also, I'm traumatised by my previous relationship experience whereby I realised how much a control freak I was to my ex that I feel like I don't want to repeat my mistakes.

On one hand, he has given me the security and assurance that we will be together.

But on the other hand, is it wrong to stop my bf from even having that freedom to "love" on Facebook, in that aspect? Should I talk to him about it?

Any advice is very welcomed. I do want to talk to him about it but I'm not sure how to.

Thanks.

Lenovo Y550 - Availability or Alternative

I have the need to change my laptop after using the last one for almost 4 years. Currently using my boyfriend's laptop therefore I quite urgently needed a new one. My aim was to get a specs good enough to last me at least 2 years. I've stumbled across the model called Lenovo Y550 (not the Y550p), and the specs are:

Intel Core 2 Duo Processor P8800 (2.66GHz, 1066 MHz FSB, 3MB L2 Cache)
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium
4GB DDR3 SDRAM
500GB SATA HDD (5400rpm)
Blu Ray Combo Drive
nVidia GeForce GT 240M 1024MB
15.6" WLED
6-cell Li-ion Battery

RM4099

This is what I aimed to have as I'm a heavy multimedia user and I play games as well. However, almost every shop that has a "Lenovo" sign told me this laptop might not be available in Malaysia. In fact, one Lenovo exclusive store salesperson tell me they just put those specs, because they want to promote the Core i7 version (RM4799)

I think they didn't think I'd be interested in the Core 2 Duo version but as of now I felt cheated cause I'm handed brochures that were distributed in the PC fair and they had the cheek to tell me it's false advertising, they never intend to bring it in

So my question is:

1) Is this model available?
2) Should I buy the Core i7 version despite not being part of my needs (except the rest of the specs which is what I want)?
3) Are there any other alternatives that are currently available in Malaysia? Because I'm most probably buying next month. Can't wait dy. There's assignments and my thesis to consider...

Any advise is appreciated. Thanks.

Attached here is the promotion I found in the Lenovo Malaysia website (Green Box is the model I want):

[attachmentid=1400724]
