6D5N Surabaya to Yogyakarta

I'm going to Surabaya and will be touring around the region all the way to my final destination, Yogyakarta. I'd arrive in Surabaya on June 26th evening and will depart home from Yogya on the morning of July 1st. (Yes time is very constraint here, I know)

Basically, I'd skip Surabaya as it's not really a tourism-worthy city, and upon arrival I'll head str8 to Mt.Bromo (or somewhere near it so that I'll be up early to catch the sunrise there - i need transportation tips on this - anyone?). And I'd proceed to Ijen Crater next.

Then I'd head all the way to Yogya (I heard it takes 14-15 hrs?) and will visit the temple ruins around there.

I'm seeking advices on my trip, esp regarding transportation since it's quite time-consuming (considering that the ijen-yogya trip will take almost one day). How do I get from Ijen to Yogya without having to go back to Surabaya (since it'd waste me another 6 hrs) just to catch the train?

Those who have been there, mind to share some tips (accommodation, transportation, budget - cost breakdowns if possible, itinerary, do's and don'ts etc)? Thank you very much!

Questions regarding the billing statement

And this is what I get when I d/l the statement in pdf file:

So do I still need to pay anything this month, i.e. RM37.42? Or I dont hv to do so since I still hv a balance of RM -22.58 brought forward from last month?

As you can see, I activated my service on 27 DEC 2009, but my available quota is until 11 JAN 2010 (I thought it's supposed to be 1 month from the date of my activation, hence 27 JAN, and not 1 month from 12 DEC). Anyone can explain me why?

I'm a new subscriber, and I've been keeping an eye on the statistics, and my, the d/l data reaches 40MB within 15 mins (and it's increasing fast with every passing second), and I'm not even d/l videos or heavy stuff, just checking my mail, LYN-ing, and FB-ing. If it's like that, then my monthly quota of 3GB would be reached within a few hours! Did this thing occur to you guys?

Cant connect: How to set up and get started?

Hi all,

I just subcribed to the RM48 package and I was told I will be able to connect after a few hours. But now a day has passed and I still cant get connected. The guy at the shop told me to just plug in my modem (the USB stick/thumbdrive type from HUAWEI) and install, no need to key in whatever settings (except the network ID), just click connect.

The prob is, I was not even pinged to key in my network ID, and I keep receiving the same error (smth like cant connect to remote user blabla) after I hit the connect button and the connection is terminated halfway. The signal at my place (USM Penang) is quite strong and I just dont know how to solve this.

Where can I key in the Network ID? Do I need to key in those pins, username, password, blablas? I'm clueless at this.

Wireless network card for Dell Studio XPS 16

Hi there...

I was given 2 options for the network card of the XPS 16. I wonder if they perform the same (e.g. picking up signals and connection stability)? Intel's requires an additional RM 8x so I'm wondering whether there's a need to go for it and worth the extra cost if the Dell can do the same. Any advice?

I'm from the School of Housing, Building and Planning (HBP) of the main campus, and will be a Year 2 Architecture student come this July. I'll be staying in RESTU, same as my 1st year.

HELP: 2-weeks'o lappie cant boot into Vista!

The story goes like this:

I was d/l Windows Updates (which I think is the major cause here) halfway but I was disconnected out of a sudden. I tried to reboot my system and while the screen was showing "Shutting Down" (or smth like that, I can't remember the exact wording), it just freezed there...

I then tried pressing on the Power button to forcefully shut it down and turned on the system all over again. It was then when the Microsoft progress bar screen was showing, it just stopped there without advancing to the user log-in page (with the progress bar still running)!

I tried to run the Last Known Good Config, it was still the same. Frustrated, I ran the Safe Mode, and the system just stopped there while it was loading the Windows files. I then tried to run Startup Repair, but the system kept on prompting me on it even though I've selected it. What to do? Master Recovery is my final resort.

I thought my system would be all right by then after having done it. But NO, it's still the same, though this time I can enter through Safe Mode. But I don't know what to configure even though I've entered Safe Mode. (EDIT: Safe Mode is inaccessible too! An alert popped up stating that the Windows installation is still incomplete, thus I can't run in Safe Mode. But the system just booted into the Microsoft progress bar page after having done the Master Recovery, so I'm sure it is complete, albeit still lacking of user information and some settings all that which can only be made after the progress bar page.)

So please help me! My lappie is just less than 2 weeks' old...

My Lappie Specs:
- Windows Vista Home Premium (OEM)
- Intel Core 2 Duo Santa Rosa 2.2GHz
- 2 GB Ram
- 200 GB HDD

I think that's all you need to know...

EDIT: The error is the winload.exe file is either missing or corrupted, hence why I cant log in. Is there anyway to fix this problem or retrieve the file back???

May I ask what things we need to prepare (certs ~ original or photocopies?, daily stuff (water boiler? table lamp? drawers?), uniform (men) ~ formal wear? how many of them? long sleeves/short sleeves? tie? slacks? or just any shirts with collar? etc)

And what facilities are already available in the hostels? Thx for your guidance.

Yeah right. I'm a vegetarian. Do you guys (preferably those who are attached to local public Us) know are there any vegetarian stalls/eateries in the public Us' vicinity (the uni cafeteria/around the uni campus etc)? Any public Us u know that have it ~ be it: UM, USM, UTM, UKM, UPM etc. THX.

P/S: I'm posting this thread here since I expect lotsa university undergraduates/graduates to stop by this forum.

how do i remove the side panel on the left? all my desktop icons are moved slightly to the right bcos of this "desktop" panel. i cudnt find ways to remove it. i cudnt right click on it.

i guess it's have to do with a trojan horse virus that's just been found in my pc. and my recycle bin is gone!!! i've tried microsoft's method to restore recycle bin but i cudnt find the file i was told to find in the regedit! goodness someone help me!

Sony Ericsson announced a budget alternative of their fashion clamshell Z610. The new Sony Ericsson Z310 features a similar external display under shiny surface plus a row of system icons that flash up when a new event takes place. The design of the clamshell otherwise follows the style of the Sony Ericsson Z-line up but adds to it with a intriguing keypad, similar to the one used in the high-end Sony Ericsson W950 mobile.

The new tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE folder comes equipped with a 65K STN main display with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels and a secondary monochrome external display. It also features a VGA camera and Bluetooth and would have 14MB of internal memory.

An innovative feature are the colorful light effects that may be assigned to a certain phonebook contact and would let you know who's calling literally in a flash.

Besides that, the stylish Sony Ericsson Z310 would also be capable of changing preset wallpapers and themes according to the different times of day.

The Sony Ericsson would be available in black, bronze and pink on selected markets from the beginning of 2007.

Let's say if I'm studying at a local public university (be it USM, UM, or less famous ones such as Universiti Sabah Malaysia, Universiti Sarawak M'sia...), can I apply to transfer to an overseas university with my university grades or smth like that (not so sure) in the final yr? if i'm studying at a less famous uni (means not USM or UM), will the overseas uni accept my application? and which overseas uni in UK/AUS accept this kind of transfer?

so u guys out there who are laying high hopes on its tempting 3MP camera module~~~

take a look at the 3MP pics taken by its sensor~~~ u would immediately change ur mind~~~ and i'm sorry to disappoint those who want this babe for taking pics~~~

the reviewer oso stated that the N80 altho having its cam resolution increased by 1 MP, but the quality was even worse than the 2MP N70 and N90.

well, maybe it's just a typical proto unit and maybe things wud be rectified in the final product. we'll just wait and see~~~
