I am curious on 1 thing, does anyone here made a jump of career to full time digital marketing before?

I knew an ex colleague of mine who's going to quit her job as a sales manager and plan to go full time digital marketing working for herself. Did not ask for more details but is it rewarding to call a quit to a mid career

I do not have any interest on digital marketing before this but seeing quite a few people around me has started their move really sparks my interest.

Finance to Accounting path

Guys I need a piece of advice.

I've graduated in 2017 with a degree in finance, CGPA 3.52 which is just average. Frankly speaking, the course of study is fundamental and theoretical in which the knowledge is mostly inapplicable in real finance work. I find that my interest in pure finance work such as investment (PE,FA,FM, etc) and CF to be diminishing. Not to mention, IB isn't easy to get in and i receive advice to pursue CFA to increase my chance, but since my primary interest is not towards investment and most probably i will not go down that route, the effort may just go into vain. After graduating, i spent about 1 year and 4 months working as an advisor in a niche building material company and resigned just about a month ago. I do appreciate the experience as it really improves my soft skill.

I have looked over to ACCA recently. I have a technical mindset and is fine in crunching numbers. My degree exposes me to fundamental accounting and costing course which to my surprise i enjoy these subjects. I get to know how accounting especially audit work can be really grueling and i'm prepared for that. Given my current interest is in accounting and advisory, acca could be a good addition with promising prospect, eg: tax consultant, audit advisory (not to say finance doesn't offer good prospect).

There are two options im considering
1) Work as account exec + part time study
2) Focus full time ACCA with Big4/MnC as the goal

I got exempted from F1-F3 paper left with six fundamental and five professional paper. With no prior experience in any accounting work, should i juggle between a normal account exec work (eg: bookkeeping,reconciliation) and study part time to gain working experience?. I intend to fully focuses on ACCA in a year and aim to finish the six fundamental paper and perhaps one or two professional papers and pursue the rest during my work. But, will i be losing competitiveness to a candidate, graduated with accounting degree and with working experience in accounting (~1-2 year) fighting for the same associate post in audit?

Hi all,

I graduated few months back from INTI Uni and was awarded with 2 certification, 1 from INTI and 1 from partnering University of Hertfordshire (UK).

My CGPA barely touch 3.5/4.0 mark but it falls under INTI standard of First class Honor which is is also stated in my cert. However, Im in the second upper class division as per the UK uni marking. My question is, am i eligible to apply for ptptn loan waive since my case is quite vague. And do i need to present two certs in the documents to be submitted for application?.

I'm a fresh business graduate and had some experience in sales line from my past freelance job. I just finished my internship in a FMCG company a month ago & now I have been thinking to jump into sales and would like to explore in pharma/medical sales line.

Some questions in mind is that most of the company advertised on jobstreet stated that candidates have to have at least X (1-2) years of experience in related field. Does that mean these companies only take experienced worker and do not welcome fresh graduates?. Also, if I were to attend an interview in a pharma/medical company for the sales rep position, am i expected to have product knowledge on certain drugs or medical equipment?. As i graduated with business degree cert, my dilemma is that landing a job in the healthcare sales would be difficult as compared to those candidates graduates from science related field.

I had a crush on this girl or i would say my ex colleague. We worked together for 3 months and most of the time our work is team-based and i really enjoy the time spent with her even if it's for work. We clique pretty well and she is very bubbly type of girl where we can throw nonsense jokes at each other and laugh at it for the entire day. About 1 month after we started working together, i got the news that she have broke up with her bf. I knew she had a bf but after spending 2 months+ together i slowly fell for her charm. She prefers to hang out in group and we did for almost 3-4 times a week as we're working together. She also expresses before that she's not comfortable if anyone speaks to her in a 'special' way like throwing lovey dovey words to her when other people is around.

Several times i asked her for 1 on 1 meet but then she turned down because of her really busy schedule. After asking her out for several times, she then says she has her own reason and said meeting personally with a guy will remind her of 'something' and she prefer not to. From her reply i kinda guessed that she hasn't gotten past her past relationship yet and still has a scar in her heart. The previous relationship is also the first serious relationship she got into. From time to time i have been making her feel really comfortable and happy that she can laugh every time when I am around her. Been a really gentleman to her as well and she knew i treated her differently than other female colleague. I do not go overboard and make it obvious when others are watching in order to not make her feel uncomfortable.

We ended our short few months of work last week and we're no longer colleague. Although we meet for many days a week during our work, it's hard to meet her in person for more often after this. I do text her regularly but she's those type of person that does not reply to messages for many hours when she is working, focusing on something or going out to social activities. Sometimes she will reply a day after the message came in. As mentioned, she prefer not to meet personally 1 on 1 but i have asked her during the last day of our work and she said will take some time off for that meet. I am planning to confess to her my real feeling instead of beating around the bush, at least she knew i had a feeling for her. Nonetheless, i am expecting her answer to be 'i need more time', 'im not prepare to go into another relationship yet' from her. The dilemma is that should i confess when i pretty much expected the answer and worry the confession will just make it awkward between us?. Or should i remain just a friend in the group and wait for her?. I'm not sure how long must i wait for her when she is not ready to commit now. If the only option that i can interact with her is through group, it's impossible that i asked other group friends to gather and meet every week when they're busy person themselves too.

Ants on my Car exterior

I parked my car under a tree for few days with the leaf touching my car... Came back and see hundreds of black ants crawling all around.. I'd gotten very frustrated on killing them everyday but they still come back the next few hours.. Already brought my car to car wash, spray hard and vacuum the interior. But few hours after the car wash, i go observe my car again and those damn ants crawl out again from the holes near the passenger side door. Fortunately, those ants doesn't get in to the interior...

How to get rid of them completely?
