tldr: malicious ads on fb, lead to whatsapp, then ask u to install apps on ur phone. that apps will steal your info, steal your banking tac/msos code.

Port Forward

hello guys,

can you help me check out my diagram of my setup?

if i try port forward directly from unifi router, it works fine. but i cant add more than 10 entry to the forward table.

if set up DMZ to the 2nd router by secondary ip (10.x.x.x),
the 2nd router doesnt seems to receive any traffic, and port forwarding doesnt work too.

any advice?

new edit:

unifi router - ip 192.168.1.1 | 2nd lan ip 10.0.0.1 | dmz to 10.0.0.2 ddwrt via wan port

ddwrt router - ip 192.168.1.2 | wan ip 10.0.0.2 | port forward to cctv, server1, server2

other than lan to wan. extra cable is connected to bridge the lan between the ddwrt and unifi.
otherwise pc on the other room, same network cant access the cctv/server.

i cant use portforward function on the unifi router. as i cant add more than 10 entry in the forward table.

i cant use ddwrt router as internet gateway, as it seems it cant handle 50mbit internet well.
so ill just use it for portforward. unifi uplink only 10mbit i think.

Details of the complaint : bought a hdd from a user named super7, claimed the hdd is used but in working condition.

THE DEALS

I bought a hdd from a user named super7,

the hdd was claimed to be used, but in working condition. *but without proof. i was quite busy that day meeting with some client. so i didnt bother ask the proof if the item is really working. well, ive dealt with other seller. didnt bother to ask for proof of working condition. so far, not having any problems.

really need a hdd to rebuild a pc from my old motherboard for some use.

He agreed to sell it for rm110 with postage to sarawak. I trusted him because he sells considerably lots of used item etc. Ive been buying from garage sales long time, never had any problem before. even with used computer parts. seing a seller with lots of selling thread, doesnt seems to concern me much to doubt the deal.

later on the same day, i transferred a total of RM110 to his hong leong accounts.

POSTAGE

So the as of 15 March, he give me the tracking no, which is EH145563962MY . can still tracked it as of today (22/3/2016) of course it was delivered to me by then. **refer pict below

took quite some time for the tracking info to be shown on poslaju websites. not sure why. possibly remote area i guess or packed?

received the parcel on monday (21/3/2016) around afternoon. took quite some time to receive. opposed to shorter timeframe for me to return it. as poslaju branch was only 5 minutes drive from my workplace i. it took less than a day for him to receive the hdd back. EF659396367MY

after the long waits, finally received the parcel, right after unwrapping, i was surprised that it is SEAGATE HDD instead of WD brand.

The subject of the pm clearly was "WD 500GB HDD", then only he told me that the WD hdd was out of stock and he sent me the seagate instead. not even bother on telling me first. quite not expecting that sort of behaviour from an *experienced seller* . so i replied, if its working, i dont mind.

come on, im not gonna bother him to post the hdd again just over different brand, not that kind of choosy sort of person . as long as it works for me.

so i just proceed testing it directly since i was at the office.

TESTING

first thing i noticed, the hdd not even spinning up.bios seems very slow respond on detecting hdd. but it managed to get through eventually until desktop.

i asked him why, he said the hdd is set in offline mode. sounds logic to me. right after booted to the desktop, i tried as what he instructed me to. opening a disk management program to set it back online. the hdd not shown there at all. i even checked device manager, nothing!

then he suggested me to try it on other pc. so i tried hook it on different pc, bios took quite some time, boot slower than usual.

once again, opening the disk management. the hdd not shown at first, but after few minutes of refreshing, the somehow listed there, and the capacity shown was only 3.86GB.

RETURNING

As expected, any buyer would do is to return the item if its not working for him to check again. So i just repack the item, and drive straight to poslaju since it is nearby, only 5 minute drives)

So in less than a day, he received the hdd, and straight accuse me "FFK" and "cheating"

received a text while i was driving, stopped due to red traffic light. checking text. mannn ! the feeling being called ffk/cheating while driving, really affected driving focus.

so now, he non stop calling me ffk/cheater. been arguing about it till now. threat to report me.
i have nothing to hide/afraid of for the truth. so i just decided post this thread to see if anybody could judge/comment about this or even help me with this. please!

If the hdd really working at the first place, why didnt he send me any proof for the working hdd in the first place?

also, considering my long time being LYN user. why would i risk my rep to cheat him over 500gb hdd?

all im demanding now is either refund me the full amount or send me a working 500gb hdd. thats all!

i never accused him on cheating, but at least, consider what im demanding here, as the hdd really didnt working right after unboxing.

Celcom Quota for Upload?

Hello, im using celcom prepaid with monthly internet subscription.

as you guys know, streamyx upload speed is barely 500bkit/s, so ive been using my phone to upload few things to google drive/dropbox etc, it is way faster, around 2 - 4 mbit/sec.

while uploading spree, im curious, is the upload data capped/limited? i only notice slight deduction over my monhtly quota allowance.

let say i only upload 150mb, then i checked my quota balance, only 5mb +/- deducted, maybe it is just some sort of overhead? or something else?

(WTA) 20 pin on 24pin itx mobo

i recently got an intel atom board from lyn member, however i only got a Aopen 350w 20 pin psu, and the mobo have 24pin.

is it ok if i try to power it on using the 20pin psu even there is 24pin on the mobo? ive searched info about this, most of them says it will powered on, but might harm if the mobo require more power from psu. seems logic to me.

however, from my logical common sense, id think this mini-itx board would not draw much power from psu, since it is intel atom, plus no extra gc/fan. just 1 or 2 hdd ill be plugging in.

is there gonna be any problem?

OpenWRT to bridge WiFi

Hello guys, i got this mini wireless router, im wondering how to bridge my office wifi with this mini router, it has openwrt loaded. basic info about this device is, it has 1 lan port, 1 wan port.

what ive done so far is;

set the eth0 ip to 192.168.1.5 with subnet 255.255.255.0
ive added an interface named www1 connected to a wifi network, using client mode.
ticked, eth0, lan, and www1 as bridged.

ive done all those using the web interface, luci. not really used to the ssh/telnet.

the office wifi has 192.168.1.1 as router/gateway, but i still cant ping/access the router after doing the step as mentioned above, mean no internet access as well.

please refer the pict below. hope any sifu's can help me.

today i just reinstall streamyx at my home. terminate my previous line due to lot of problem.

and now.. what i noticed, i only have connected to 10.x.x.x ip, stated on the modem, WAN details. usually ill have random streamyx ip, like 103.x.x.x / 115.x.x.x / 21x.x.x.x but now no more?

i sense there will be lots of problem for some application / port forwarding. such as home cctv, personal web server, etc...

i have this problem with maxis before, however ill only get public ip if im on postpaid or broadband packages.

is it possible to request public ip from them? feeling lazy to call and ask them.
