Hi All..

Looking for recommendations and suggestions for a PSU with the following criteria:

1) Cheap : Budget RM200
2) Silent : HTPC usage.
3) Reliable: I dont expect it to be a expensive Corsair or Silverstone quality. Just OK for daily use without OC.
4) Modular : Not necessary.

Thanks in advance.

Dilemma- 2 options for career

Hi all.

As mentioned above, here's the case.

I'm currently employed as an engineer in a company with basic salary of RM2.5k /mth. Started this job early June2009. Basically this job is kinda boring coz mostly is routine procedure; unless some big issue comes up or got new project. Currently, all small project and does not require much of technical skills as it just requires to set the specs then let contractors/vendors design and propose. Btw, i'm in facilities/plant operation section.

Recently, MOSTI-TPM has offered me for their program in Mech R&D, attached with Motorola Penang (which is also the place i did my internship last year). Allowance is RM1560nett. Certificate in R&D will be given after completion of the 12mths program.

thus, i'm considering whether i sud quit my current job and take up this MOSTI-TPM offer as i'm more interested in this field rather than facilities/plant section.

So is it worth to take up the program or stick to current job and continue to gain experience? Say i cont to work for next 2 years. then find my dream job. Would it help during that time? Or does the MOSTI-TPM Program have an advantage here?

Of coz, if one were to consider current economic situation, earning MORE will definitely be THE answer, rite?

Please state some constructive comments ya.

Thanks.

P/s: need to confirm by Monday next week whether to take up the offer or not coz current employer requires 1mth notice of resignation.

Option 1 : Stick to current job
Pros
-High salary
-confirmed job (at least until i decide to resign)
-Japanese company, semicon industry (dunno whether its good or bad...*sigh)
Cons
-boring job
-little/less challenging
-not really in-line with my interest

Option 2 : Take up MOSTI-TPM offer
Pros
-Motorola wor..US MNC (again.. dunno good or bad for this recession times)
-Work environment very comfortable
-Got certificate in R&D at the end of the program (might be useful in future employment)
-Like the job (involve in product development, rather than just to support production like current job)
Cons
-less salary (RM2.2k(after deduction)-1.5k = RM700)
-not confirmed employee after program ends (12mths) [hopefully recession ends before that]
-US MNC = risky... (but in my case, i'm to be tied with MOSTI/TPM, so not directly affected during the program)

Last but not least, THANKS ALL for reading and understanding my dilemma here!
