Hello everyone,

A quick question - I noticed there're not many users of Carbide Air 540. How are they in MY/SG? Are they good? Are they noisy?

Thanks!

PSU GX550

Hi guys,

I recently purchased a new system with a GX550 as my PSU.

It now emits intermittent buzzing noise; sometimes it buzzes, other times no. The buzz will go on for awhile then disappear when it happens, even under normal operation load (system powered on, no high proc applications). Any ideas if this is normal or should it be something I should be worried about?

I've googled around and have seen some people saying it's normal that the buzz is from the coil in the PSU, while others say this could be something to be on the watch for. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

[WTA] Assistance to build a system

Hey guys, I've been using the PC i have for... a pretty long time.
It's an Athlon 64 3000+ with 1gb of RAM and ATI Radeon X300/X550/X1050 Series family.

I was thinking of upgrading it to either a Phenom II X4 or the new Athlon II X4. The thing is, I've been pretty out of the hardware knowledge for a long while and have dropped my memory regarding them.

What I do know is that I'm looking for a gaming pc (not an extreme one, since I'm a casual-ish gamer) that can run the games nowadays pretty well. I also do some graphic editing (photoshop and some 3d apps) from time to time. So basically, what I want is a system that can do these comfortably without being too hot or too expensive. The budget i have is around 3 to 3.5k (inclusive of monitor). I'm eyeing Samsung monitors atm, have yet to decide.

It'd be much appreciated if you guys could lend a hand here! Thanks!
