Need HELP...hardware prob..proc or mobo?

Hi to all expert out there..I has some prob regarding my pc...could u guys help me out

2 days ago when i format my pc..suddenly my pc automatically off..no power at all...then i smell something burning inside my cpu...i opened up my pc and detect the burn smell is from the proccesor/chipset part..and i also check the proc but no burn trace at all

the question is does my proc already gone bad? or the motherboard? but i test to supply power to my mobo and a red light occur near the ide slot...is that mean the mobo is still functional? but when I switch on the power the fan and other light (beside the red one) cannot work also..

so which one is broken?proc or mobo?

do i need to replace proc or mobo or both of them?

thank you..much appreciate if anyone can help me to clarify it..

i use intel quad core 2.6 and msi p45 mobo, 4gb ram, 500w true power cooler master

Could u recommend me & give ur best price for this?

My budget is rm7k max...& prefer dual proc intel xeon & at least 6gb hp ram triple channel....

hope it can produce a minimum of 24 threads & 32 threads maximum if possible (more threads will be great)

Hi, I've been searching for workstation especially suitable for architectural purpose ; i.e 3D modelling, 3D rendering, 3D animation & etc...a affordable & good workstation that can produce minimum 32 threads ( or bucket in 3Ds Max) and 64 threads if possible..

Workstation motherboard, Dual proc (prefer intel xeon), Ram (HighPerformance) 6gb triple channel (for the time being), good GC if within budget(if overbudget..maybe can use my old 9800gtx), Hard disk 1 tb, casing & psu, lcd (x payah), keyboard & mouse(x payah)

My budget is RM7k (max)...please suggest/recommend to me the suitable spec..Thank You
