buffalo kaput

I bought a buffalo WBMR G125 modem router a month ago after having problems of connecting with my present modem/router. After installing it the first time it solved most of the problems. After a few days the modem went kaput , modem lights not blinking at all. I thought it was the problem of the adapter, but the adapter seemed fine. It says that the modem has a 2 yr warranty on the box. Shall I
1)bring the modem to the place where I bought it (lowyat) or
2)contact buffalo which apparently is in Singapore

1st wireless offers limited connection

then modem hung up

this morning connection went dead 3 times consecutively

is this upgrading service or downgrading service

foreigners conning locals at lowyat

I have to write this to prevent members who are unwary of certain trade practices by foreigners at lowyat

I brought my 4 yrs old twinhead laptop that I had inadvertently wrecked by bannging on the keyboard. I know that the only fault is the keyboard - it needed replacement. I walked into this shop at lowyat , you probably think that you are in dubai or calcutta because of the faces surrounding you.

After having a hard time explaing to this asstant, he does not seem to understand what I wanted, he quoted a price of MR210.

One young guy came out from an adjacent room and put a cd in the rom drive. It turned out to be Norton Ghost and started a restore session, which failed halfway . Of course he destroyed the formatted and functioning hard disk. He mumbled something"CD Rom spoilt, probally also mainboard and CD rom drive".

I told him I didn't want anything done and took my computer to a repair shop run by locals. Without much hassle the keyboard is replaced and the laptop is running well now.

So beware of these foreigners. I still can not understand why there are so many of them at lowyat now. Are we not going to do something before as one of the local repair guys said" soon we will be working under them"
