Indicator lights malfuctioned

Hello guys. Imma driving a Honda HRV year 2015. When it is in drive mode, these three indicators (hand break, park and another one above it) keep on and flashing. Sent to Honda service centre and they said likely break hold wiring malfunctioned or some unknown dashboard indicator wiring broken.

Has previously replaced the break hold switch in 2020. The problem was solved at that time but returned since 2 years back. The technician further mentioned that indicator malfunction issue is common in this HRV batch.

This time the Honda service centre quoted RM805 change of:
- sensor shift position (cvt)
- sensor assembly
- switch assembly, EPB and break hold

Please advise whether the change will solve the this issue for once and for all. Thanks.

How to improve mesh speed

Hi guys I'm currently using Unifi 500 mbps. Ethernet connection is awesome but when it comes to mesh I got a measly 100-120 mbps.
My mesh setting is:
Router: TP Deco M5 with gigabit cable
Mesh 1 downstair, approx 10m from router TP deco E4R
Mesh 2 upstair hall also TP deco E4R (the speed upstairs is even horrendous)

Any idea how can I improve my mesh 1 and 2 speed to get some decent wifi speed?

Repair cost for rented apartment

Hi guys, my tenant called me and said there is one light (ceiling pendaflour lamp) when switched on has caused the fuse to trip.

Should I absorb the cost of repair or tell the tenant to do the check and repair (if any) by their own since the unit has been rented out for few months and previously when the property is vacant there is no such issue?

Seven-day remand for three Didi Gang members

SIBU: Three members of the Didi Gang and two owners of a farm at KM7, Jalan Oya have been ordered to be remanded for seven days to facilitate police investigations into the Saturday fatal shooting of another member of the gang.

The five were also ordered by Subordinate Court Registrar Rommie Ahmad Zaidi to be present on Oct 5 for further mention of the case. In the case, four members of the gang led by its 48-year-old leader known as Ah Tay intruded into the farm using a van which was reported stolen by its owner on April 21. There they stole three fighting cocks. The 29-year-old farm owner and his 35-year old cousin chased after the intruders on a motorcycle.

It was reported that, when confronted by the two men, the gangsters refused to return the cockerels and put up a fight.

A shot was fired, which hit one of the gang members, Ting Liong Kuong, 38, a former Emergency Ordinance (EO) detainee.

He died of four buckshot wounds on the right side of his face and another four on the back of his right shoulder. Upon realising that Ting had died, the other three abandoned the van and flee on foot.

The police were informed of the incident by a construction worker at 9am. This subsequently led to the arrest of the trio and also the two cousins.

A lawyer, Lau Hui Kui, assigned under the National Legal Aid Foundation, represented the five suspects for their remand.

The farm owner, a security guard of an oil palm plantation company in Jalan Oya, told Lau that he had asked the gang three times to return the cocks to him but they refused.

He also said that the van was heavily tinted, hence he was not sure how many passengers were inside it then.

After the remand order, the suspects led a police team headed by a senior investigating officer to the site at about 10am.

The police team, made up of three members of a forensic unit and a police photographer, found a cock feather, a tin fragment believed to be that of gun pellet, two axes and a pair of gloves from inside the van.

Outside the van, they found a torch light, a pair of scissors and a lighter.

The Didi Gang is notorious for a string of robbery, housebreaking and vehicle theft cases in Sarikei and here.

This was apparently the last text message that a corporate figure’s son sent to a friend before torching himself. The 20-year-old, who was found burnt to death at a condominium in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, here on Saturday morning was said to have been depressed over his relationship with a woman.

The deceased, who was an economics and politics student at a university in New Zealand, was back in Malaysia on holiday.

It was learnt that the victim’s mother saw smoke rising from the balcony when she woke up at around 4am.

She then forced open the locked iron grille to the balcony only to discover the victim’s charred remains on the floor.

Also recovered near the body was a handphone which showed that the victim had apparently sent an SMS to a friend, which read: “See you on the other side”. It was believed that the victim did not share his personal problems with his family and they only found out about what he had been going through after his death.

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Muhammad Azlee Abdullah confirmed the incident and said the case had been classified as sudden death.

IGP: Preventive laws needed

PUTRAJAYA: Preventive laws are needed to curb organised crime or Malaysia will turn into a Mexico or Colombia, says Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.

"In Mexico and Colombia, their organised crime, such as drug cartels, became powerful because there is a weak enforcement institution. When it is weak, these cartels and mafia will rule the country.

"Would we want our country to be like that? Of course not. We want strict and strong preventive laws in order for us to carry out our duty in combating crime," said Khalid at a forum on crime prevention and public safety at the Home Ministry on Saturday.

The proposed amendments to the Prevention Crime Act 1953 (PCA) were tabled in Parliament last Wednesday giving the authorities the power to detain hardcore criminals for up to two years without trial.

Khalid said the PCA is vital although Malaysia has "the best" judicial system where the criminals could be tried and defend themselves.

However, he said, it still does not guarantee that the criminal would be put behind bars due to lack of credible witnesses to testify against them.

"In the case of triads and other organised crime, no witnesses would want to come to the open court and testify for fear of their lives," he said.

Khalid said that the triads and secret societies that were recently exposed were now becoming bolder in showing off their activities to the public due to the abolishment of Internal Security Act (ISA) and Emergency Ordinance (EO) in 2011.

"After these laws were repealed, they are getting braver with their activities even in broad daylight and the crime rate is increasing significantly.

"Therefore, I hope the people understand why we need these preventive laws so that we can ensure that we all leave in peace and harmony," he said.
