Plaster Ceiling for 1st floor

My 1st floor has about 900 sq feet. I heard that doing the plaster ceiling may not be ok, because it may have problem due to raining and etc.

Can anyone quote me for the whole floor?

Hi sifus,

When should we pay the deposit (2%) and sign S&P (8%)?

Is it possible that we apply loan, confirm first, only then give deposit and sign S&P?

It is because after pay deposit, we are to sign S&P by 2 weeks, then what happens if problems in valuation/bank offers, etc?

Can we discuss with the house owner not to collect deposit until my loan is approved?

How long maximum can it take from deposit to S&P?

Price is below 300k.

Preferably in Danau Kota.

looking for link house or town house, preferably free-hold, at least 20x70 one floor.

Or if old house, the house age must not more than 10 years.. house design and location must be nice.

I know kepong and wangsa maju are well developed.

New link house development outskirts of KL

May I know more information about the recent developed link house at the following locations?

KL city area is relatively expensive and the house age if higher. New link house development is around RM500k.

And I have noticed that there are a lot of new link house development outskirts, like Puchong, Kajang, Serdang, Putrajaya.

And may be some new area around selayang or kepong?

Can you please point me to new link house development and their prices?

Appreciate your advice.

I would like to brainstorm about a set of safe investment rules, seeing that many are not aware of the risks they are facing.

Let brainstorm about it:

Safe Investment Rules:

1) Don't put all eggs in a basket.
2) Don't trade something you are not familiar.
3) Buy on dip and sell on rally. (This needs experiences)
4) Cut loss and take profit at pre-determined range.
5) Invest using only those money you do not need to feed yourself and you family.

I believe there are lots of sifus all around, do brainstorm about this.

Inactive Card - Will charge RM50?

I have an Alliance Bank CCs back to 2004. The expiry date is 2008. I am entitled to free lifetime annual fee.

The card expired at 2008, then they send me the new cards, which I decided not to activate it.

Will I still be considered having these CCs?

What is the procedure to cancel Alliance CC?

Insurance from Citibank

I found this insurance from Citibank.

It is a 365-days hospital income plan: RM150 + RM75.

Monthly only 20+.

Renewable until 60 years old.

My company insurance definitely not enough, only cover the hospital stay and limited surgery fee.

Can you give comments on me whether I should subscribe?

How to survive financially in big city?

I believe living in city is expensive, especially in KL.
The money can go away without you notice how it goes.

One typical lunch can cost RM5.5 with drinks, at usual hawker centres.
I believe in Penang you can get it at RM3. In seremban/melacca it may be RM4.

If you want to stay nice, KL house price is at least 300k for a condo.
If you don't mind stay far far, like 40km away in airport areas, you might get double storey at 250k.
In small town, the terrace house only cost about 100k.

petrol, broadband, all costs a lot.
But I did see many people can drive big cars and buy big houses.

How can they achieve it?
May be they all earn more than 10k per month?
Mind to share your experience if you are one of them?

I know CIMB-GK is offering HKD 60 per trade, which is RM30 only.

Any experience?

Trading using CIMB for Singapore shares cost SP$25. Any cheaper way?
