Proton Gen2 CPS vs Iriz 1.3

I'm currently planning to buy a second hand weekend car, with a budget of around RM10-20k, it has to be a manual, and a Proton.

Currently considering these 2 cars. I've owned a Proton before so I'm aware of its QC issues and fit and finish.

2008-2010 Gen2 CPS Manual (RM10-12k)

Pros:
Cheaper than Iriz
Nice CPS engine
Nice leather interior
Multilink suspension

Cons:
Older car (13-15 years old)
Hard to find one in good condition
Poorer QC (Gen2 is notoriously infamous for it)

2014-2016 Iriz 1.3 Manual (RM16-19k)

Pros:
Newer car (7-9 years old)
Better fit and finish
Stronger HPF chassis

Cons:
Engine is less powerful
More expensive compared to Gen2
1.3 specs is pretty basic compared to 1.6

I'm currently leaning towards the Gen2 as I always loved how it looks. I've test driven a manual Iriz before and I like its handling. Anybody has experience driving both cars? Which car has better driving dynamics and handling?

Myvi 1.5 SE suspension making clucking sound

Hi guys. My wife has a 2012 Myvi Lagi Best 1.5 SE done around 110k km.

When turning the steering and driving on uneven roads, it makes clunking metal sound (kluk kluk) from the front area and I can feel the clucking slightly on the steering wheel. SC checked and said there's no leaking on the absorbers and only the absorber mountings needed to be changed.

I suspect the absorbers needs to be changed too since it makes faint hissing sounds when going over bumps. What else do I need to check, steering rack could be damaged too?

Any Myvi sifu can enlighten what needs to be changed? Tq..

I need to find a way to buy an item (a bag) from a NZ website (TradeMe) and ship it to Malaysia. The website don't seem to have overseas shipping.

I've been searching for this bag for the longest time and finally found it in a NZ website!

Any ideas?

Cheapest parking/season parking around KLCC

Hi guys. I'm starting my job tomorrow and my office is at Menara TA One, just opposite KLCC. The problem is i have no idea where to park my car, and dont ask me to take the LRT since my job requires me to drive out once in awhile to get things done. So a parking lot is a must on certain days.

I parked at the Menara TA One during my interview and they charged me RM8 for just 2 hours plus. I find that ridiculous!

Anybody knows where i can find the cheapest season parking/daily parking around the area? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks!

Blue screen and restart when turn on wireless

Hi guys.

I'm having a problem where whenever i turn on my laptop wireless connection, regardless of whatever connection im connected to, a blue screen will appear and the system will restart itself.

The blue screen will appear in less than a second and i was not able to capture what it was written. Its something similar to this:

"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer."

My laptop is over 3 years old and the wireless card had been working fine all this while. It only started happening last week. Updating the driver of my wireless card did not solve it as well.

Spec is as follows:

Compaq Presario M2000 AU
AMD Sempron 3000+ (1.8Ghz)
ATI Radeon Xpress 200M
1 GB ram
40 GB HDD
Integrated Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG 802.11 b/g integrated WLAN

Creative ZEN Thread

I wonder.. are there other LYN forummers using the new Zen? And there are no threads for it. So i've created one. Would be nice to able to share problems with other Zen users.

I've had the player for a few weeks. So far, its a pretty good player. SQ is much better than my lousy ipod. Although it hanged twice due to firmware update and playing unsuppoted videos.

I was wondering.. are there ways to completely turn off the backlight during music playback? Even with the backlight set to the minimum. The backlight will dim to the dimmest and it stays on. This will eat up the battery life..

Hope to meet with other Zen owners.
