Comfortable Car with Low NVH

Hello car sifus,

I'm looking for a car with budget <150k that is comfortable to ride with low NVH. Any recommendations please?

P.s. I currently own a 2014 Vios, very practical and reliable car to drive; but considering I travel a lot for work the excessive tyre roar and engine noise when driving at highway speeds is literally driving me crazy. Tried putting in earbuds (cheapest solution) but I always get funny looks from my passengers, and they also expect me to provide earplugs 😂

Go for better processor or more RAM?

I'm getting a DELL XPS 16 in late November and i was wondering whether i should go for:

A) Intel Core I7-720QM Mobile Processor (1.6GHz, turbo up to 2.8GHz, 6MB L3 Cache) + 8GB RAM

or

B) Intel Core( I7-820QM Mobile Processor (1.73GHz, turbo up to 3.06GHz, 8MB L3 Cache) + 6GB RAM

Or

C) Intel Core 2 Duo Processor P9700 (2.80GHz/ 1066 FSB/ 6MB Cache) + 8GB RAM

also i'm considering the Alienware M15x because it has an nVidia card on, would that help photo processing/editing at all?

I am not a gamer but i need the performance for heavy, frequent photo editing and occasionally some mobile theme making and programming.

EDIT: yes i will be running a 64bit system

Thanks guys!

Need help choosing a new laptop

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to get a new laptop in late november, when Windows 7 will definately be out and shipping with the laptops sold.

My budget is around RM8K and i will be using this laptop primarily for photo editing and occasionally some video editing.

I do not have a desktop either so this will be my main workstation for everything else too, IM, music, web browsing, documents, etc..

I would prefer a Dell due to their terrific support and am currently looking at an XPS 16 but i heard about the heat issue and wondering whether it'd be worse since we're in Malaysia??

Please guide me as i'm rather clueless as to what to get.

P.S. i'm not a gamer.
