Hi experts,

What is the cheapest prepaid or postpaid plan for those who work and stay in overseas on long term but wish to maintain their Malaysia mobile numbers? The Malaysia mobile number only serves to receive sms/whatsapp (from wifi overseas), and not to make any calls.

Thanks.

Rental Income Declaration

I asked some questions on rental income tax in other thread but no one has answered me yet. Below are my questions.

********

I have rental income of RM2,500 per month since 1 Oct 2014. When doing rental income declaration, I can deduct quit rent, assessment, loan interest, service charge and sinking fund and fire insurance.

1) Can I deduct all the above items from 1 Jan 2014 to 31 Dec 2014? Or just from 1 Oct 2014 to 31 Dec 2014?
For example, I paid the quit rent in Jan 2014 and assessment in Jan and June 2014. I also paid the service charge and sinking fund as well as loan interest from Jan to Dec 2014. However, my tenancy only starts from Oct 2014 onwards. My unit was vacant for the first 9 months in 2014.

2) The tenant requested me to provide a TV after she moved in. Can I deduct the purchase price of the TV?

3) I replaced an aircon for the house in Dec 2014. Can I deduct the purchase price of the aircon?

3) Can I deduct IWK bills?

Thanks.
Non-Bumi buys house from Bumi owner

I am a non-Bumi. I am interested in a completed house owned by a Bumi. The Bumi owner bought the house from developer and he enjoyed Bumi discount given by developer. Bumi lot is not endorsed on the title, so I presume it was purchased from "Bumi quota".

1) Completed house with title; Freehold; Located in Selangor; Owner is a Bumi who enjoyed 7% discount from developer; Bumi lot is not endorsed on land title.
2) No restriction of interest in the land title.

Can the above transaction be done just like the normal Sales & Purchase Agreement and completed within 3 months? Since there is no restriction of interest in the title, will the State consent still be required for this transaction?
