Advice Needed - Wall crack can see through

Hi all,
I recently noticed a big crack in my wall and it has opened up so much that I can see light from the other side. Previously it was a smaller crack but we hired a odd job contractor to plaster over it many years ago. Now, the plaster is coming out and we can see the deep crack underneath.

There's another hairline crack (horizontal + vertical) on the opposite wall of Room 1.

Is it as serious as I think it is - like need to get expert to check and vacate the room (second story) asap?

PS4 to Edifier C6XD via Optical Toslink with 5.1

Hi guys, not sure if this is the right forum or not. Please move it if it's not.

Anyway, I am trying to connect my PS4 to Edifier C6XD via Optical Toslink but I only found out after buying and trying that I can't get true surround sound. Because when I set the PS4 audio output to Bitstream, there is no sound coming out from the Edifier. When I change it to LPCM, there is sound, but I found out that LPCM via Optical Toslink only supports stereo.

I also own the Astro MixAMp 5.8 (it has optical input and optical output) and I tried to connect the PS4 to the mixamp optical input and then connect the mixamp to the Edifier, but still no luck. It still only supports LPCM 2.0.

After diggin around I found this digital audio decoder at Lazada (http://www.lazada.com.my/xcsource-digital-...er-1471194.html) which suppose to take in optical input and output 5.1 via 6x RCA.

Will this work to get surround sound from my PS4 to the Edifiers? Should I connect the PS4 directly to the audio decoder or pass it through the mixamp first?
