Hello

I'm currently studying at a public university, and it has a public WiFi. The nearest access point from my room gave me a very weak signal, but I think I can pull a LAN cable from the port that the public router connected to to my room. Problem is, I don't know what setup should I use. Should I buy a splitter and split the port to the public access point and my router in my room? Another problem is, the wifi block steam game but if i connect the LAN cable to a laptop and make ad hoc, I'm able to play the game. Do you think it is possible to bypass it also by using my own router? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

camera not working

hey guys, i'm trying to set up my home dekstop connected with unifi vip20 as a proxy server, so i can use it with my wimax in college. i don't know where to start, and googling seems to return no favourable results. i've already setup dynamic dns to my router. also th eping from wimax to my dekstop also very low, around 30-40ms.

hey guise, i recently subscribed maxis broadband i intend to share it with my friends. now, we're using ad-hoc, but is there more reliable and cheap ways to share it? i know i need to use a special router to share it, but it's very expensive.. and i have a linksys wrt54g(iinm) router, can i use it?

hey guise, i have a lcd tv and a monitor(primary) and set it up as dualview. basically im planning to use the lcd to view hd stuff while using the monitor to play games etc. the problem is, when i open mp classic to play hd movies, it show up on the monitor instead on the lcd tv. how do i set the setting so it'll automatically play movies to play on lcd tv? or is there any option in mpc that can easily switch between monitor and lcd? thanks.

my spec :

monitor dell 17" lcd
tv toshiba regza 32" regza
g.card 7800gt

and using dvi-hdmi cable on the lcd tv.

my brother just bought a new toshiba regza 32" lcd tv and he planned to use it as pc monitor. the resolution can go up to 1920 x 1080, and when i set my reso to it, the monitor become very crispy ( i dont know the word for it, the text became blurry etc. ). after that i changed to 1280 x 720, but the crispy still there. is there anything i have to do to really sharp it? btw using 7800gt as video card.

i have intel c2d 6300 runnning on asus p5gz-mx mobo, and from what i read, it should have 1.86ghz stock, but my pc only shows 1.4ghz. ive checked the bios and the fsb to auto, and when i changed it to like 277 it boot up but failed to detect all teh sata hdd.
