Turning hotel broadband into wifi

Sometimes I stay in hotels which provide free broadband but then my iPhone could not connect to such wired networks.

Can I bring a wireless router to plug in to the hotel broadband to turn it into a wifi hotspot?

I have a Belkin router, which I mistakenly bought previously when converting my house broadband modem to wifi. Hoping it could be of use after all.

Thanks in advance for all replies.

Netbook unable to detect wireless

Hi,

I need some help.

I have a Lenovo S10-1 netbook and an Aztech ADSL2+ wireless modem (DSL605EW). Using Windows XP.

The problem is that sometimes the netbook can detect the wireless and sometimes cannot, especially after I did not go online for a couple of days. Each time, I reset the modem and it can detect. But now, I even have restore the modem to factory defaults and yet it could not detect.

I can detect other wireless network in the neighbourhood though.

So bengang as purpose of buying netbook is to go online anywhere in the house but yet I could not detect it. Am now using a LAN cable to go online and the modem settings is still at factory defaults and the wireless light on the modem is on.

Please advise and thanks.

Between Sony Vaio CW15FG/16FG vs Lenovo Ideapad Y450, which would you choose/recommend?

Using it for online surfing, edit photos, chat, light games...

If neither, why and which other make/model would you recommend+why?

My budget is about 2.5k to 3.5k, can still be stretched a little.

Thanks in advance!
