The clinic I am currently doing my regular checkup with is at a Klang private clinic. When I did my routine checkup this month, Dr S***** who is O&amp;G does not fill out the prenatal insurance form, instead she refers me to do the detailed scan with another male Dr on Fridays at the same clinic. The cost is RM500 for the detailed scan on Friday.<br /><br />Is this normal - the O&amp;G specialist doesn&#39;t fill out the insurance, but refers to another dr and charges RM500 for detailed scan? Or is this some strategy private clinics use to get you to pay more (according to my agent)? A few of my friends (currently pregnant/already delivered) told me it costs them less than RM200 to do the detailed scan.<br /><br />Please advise.
