When should you take PMP?

Dear friends,

For those who have the following situations:
1. Took course, yet to take exam (scare fail)
2. Took course, failed (lagi scare fail)
3. Not yet took course

You are advice to take the exam latest by May 2020. Just in case the exam seats are taken up last minute.
For those in (2), you are welcome to check out how to pass and register your exam seat soonest.
For (3), current exam syllabus is very challenging, the new syllabus is more challenging to pass.

Don't wait for NEW syllabus. As PMP credential does not has the 'version' concept. It is not which version you passed that makes you different. Passing PMP is already an achievement.

So, if you have paid PMI fee, took the course already, make sure take the exam before new syllabus changed.

The impact of new PMP Exam syllabus & How to Pass

It is a final call to all who planned to pass your PMP this year and next year.
Looking at it's changes to it's exam syllabus, passing PMP exam is becoming even more challenging. Mostly all the study material, trial exam questions will be irrelevant to the new exam syllabus. This mean, you have no proper guide to prepare for your exam until some authors published something on this.

Most PMBOK text book is prepared by PMP domain areas. With the changes, the domain areas were gone and substitutes with new structure. Refer image below.

Passing it this year is the most ideal step otherwise you may need to wait up to 6-9 months before study materials could be available in market. Please take note, the earlier you take your PMP course, then you can register for your exam seat. Otherwise, the limited exam seats could be taken up by mid Nov to Dec.

Passing your PMP
Passing your PMP is not by accident. Many self study PMP students out there need to aware the following exam result analysis.
PMP passing score is answering 107 out of 175 PMP questions correctly. Note that, PMP exam has 200 questions however 25 of these are not scored and used for quality improvement purposes by PMI. Since you do not know which are these 25 unscored questions, you must answer each question seriously during your PMP exam.

Self check before you schedule PMP exam. If you score over 70% (50-50 passing) from sample PMP exam questions, best is you scored 80% then you can schedule PMP exam confidently.

Guys,

There is a lot of talk about automation and how many people will lose their jobs to artificially intelligent and connected machines and devices. These worries are probably correct. It seems obvious that, over the next few decades, many aspects of our work will be taken over by smart machines and robots.

And yet, this change will not happen overnight. We will see a gradual transformation, as the disruptive effects of new technologies creep up on us. An issue that receives much less attention. Too many people seem to be in denial of the current digital changes. Or, they simply don’t realize what is happening.

These are the people I worry about. And not because they will be replaced by robots or artificial intelligence any time soon. They will simply be replaced by other people who master the digital working technologies.
