Congratulations to the Philipines and the US Navy for successfully forcing the Red Chinese maritime militia to pull back from Julian Reef inside the Philippines EEZ. They did that before the Red China can begin their island reef construction

Philipines is lucky to have a friend like the US that have a mutual defense treaty

This can serve as a guide for other nations on how to confront the Red Chinese menace at their own territory

Vostro vs Macbook-please help me choose

Now that Windows 7 and Snow Leopard is out, time for me to get a new laptop. Please help me choose between the new Macbook or Vostro 1320

History: I owned an ibook g4 running OS X Tiger and a Dell Inspiron 1420 running Ubuntu Linux. I am familiar with Mac OS X and Linux.

Requirements: I need a light, powerful ( no Atom!) notebook for web browsing, media playing on the road during business trips, maximum 13.3 screen, Microsoft Office and dedicated NVidia graphics so I have the option to dual-boot and run Linux

Macbook strengths: Build quality. Glass trackpad. OSX, Unibody looks and feels that it can tahan lama

Macbook weakness: Price. White color ( Easy can get kotor) . Lousy ports numbers. 2 USB only! Seriously, Apple?

Vostro strenghts: Price and user-customizable specs . Lets keep things fair and have similar specs for both notebooks in terms of processor,memory and hard drive. Same specs and the Dell Vostro is still RM500 cheaper. Windows 7? Haven't tried it. Superior ports numbers. 4 USB plus SD card reader plus Express Card slot.

Vostro weakness: Build quality. This is important coz I travel a lot and need my notebook to withstand wear and tear.

Please help me choose.
