Can a PC connect to 2 ISPs at the same time?

Hi all,

I am currently using 30Mbps from ISP “A” that I hooked up Ethernet cable (from a router, of course) directly to my PC.

I recently subscribe to another 500Mbps fiber package from ISP “B”, which will be install in a few days.

Can I connect to BOTH internet connection from ISP “A” (Ethernet cable) AND ISP “B” (wireless) at the same time? (my motherboard has built in Wi-Fi support)

Really need some experts’ advise.

Thanks in advanced.

The long story:

The new service from ISP "B" will be arrange to a location (router placement) that Ethernet cable is not convenient to connect to my PC directly. So connect wirelessly is my only option.

Why keep 2 ISP at the same time? Because the slower 30Mbps ISP "A" do not have FTTH at my condo, I cannot upgrade to higher speed. The reason I keep their service is because I need the unlimited mobile data for myself and all my supplementary line.

Is my Maxis 4G USB Dongle working?

Hi all,

Maxis' representative came this morning to help me install their Maxis 4G USB Dongle to Maxis' router because I just convert to Maxis One Prime last week.

He insert the dongle to the USB port, tell me it's done, then I sign the form.

Later I only realized the dongle always showing red led (see attached picture), it never seems to be connected to the internet at all.

I unplug LAN cable that connect within TM's modem and Maxis' router (to make it no internet access) and the USB dongle also never connect to the network by showing red led.

I also tried plug in this USB dongle directly to my PC, it installed the driver, also never seems to get any internet access.

How to tell if this USB dongle (or the SIM card) is working?

Thank you in advanced!

[attachmentid=10226651]

Questions: MaxisONE plan, Zerolution, Device

Dear [@Maxis],

Regarding MaxisONE plan:
https://www.maxis.com.my/en/personal/plans/...s/maxisone.html

I am currently on SurfMore 50, with 3 supplementary lines at RM30/mth each.
If I switch to MaxisONE Plan 128, I'll get 10GB data, then...

My supp. lines will then be RM48/mth and they will each get 5GB data?

The DataPool up to 20GB for 3 lines means I have to choose only either 3 of us that can merge and share our 20GB data?

Any extra charges if I choose to share quota? (Share quota the same thing as DataPool?)

Regarding Maxis Zerolution:
https://www.maxis.com.my/en/maxis-zerolution.html

Why I didn't see any Zerolution price for Samsung Galaxy Note 7?

If I purchase a device under Zerolation and New Phone Every Year, can I choose not to include Device protection?

After 12 months, do I have the freedom to change to a device that is higher or lower price than current one?

I logged in to Maxis Online Account, visit Zerolution page and randomly choose a device (for testing purpose) then clicked [Buy Now] link, I've taken to a page that I can add the device to cart, does that mean I am eligible for Maxis Zerolution?

Thank you in advanced for your assist.

How to change forum posts font size?

Hi all,

I use Mobile version to browse LYN quite a lot, but I find the font was too small. The font size for my browser setting is ok for other sites, but it seems LYN just doesn't make the font any larger. Is there any setting page that I can change the font size? I tried go to Board Setting page but I can't find it.

Thank you in advance!

Hi all,

I'm sorry if this kind of question is not appropriate here, but I did some search and found no answer.

I use Mobile version to browse LYN quite a lot, but I find the font was too small. I tried go to Board Setting page but I can't find it.

Font size for Desktop version is ok for me, more importantly is the Mobile version.
Shop for a good wireless router

Broadband provider
ISP/package: Streamyx 4M

Personal equipment
Modem: None
Router: Currently using Linksys WAG200G, (but I want to buy Linksys E4200)

Questions details

<1>
I online shopping for a good wireless router, then I came across this Linksys E4200 which I like it very much.
Then I found out this router doesn't have built-in modem, meaning I will need to connect my ADSL phone line to a separate modem, then from modem to this E4200 router for it to work?

<2>
If the <1> above is true, does it mean I will have to manually connect to the internet inside Windows using a "dialer" software? Thus, it means I will have to boot my computer and "dial" to Internet each time whenever a device (such as mobile phone, tablet...) needs the Wi-Fi to go online?

<3>
Can anyone recommend a robust and reliable (and cool looking) dual-band wireless router?
I'm afraid Linksys E4200 isn't suitable to my setup, so I can go for other or maybe better wireless router.

Requirements
I prefer dual-band wireless router
Need stable, reliable wireless connectivity (current router acted weird recently)
Good coverage (can shoot through a few walls )

Sincerely thank you in advance...

Activate Win7 with OEM serial?

Hi all,

We just bought a new Acer computer for our office less than a week ago. I am facing some driver problem with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

The shop pre-installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit to the machine but did not supply any installation disc for us.

Now I have problem finding 64-bit driver for our Canon Laser printer, Canon Scanner because the model seems too old.

I am thinking of re-install Windows 7 32-bit version (since this PC only for office use, no need a lot of RAM etc...) to this Acer computer.

My question is:
I bought a copy of genuine Windows 7 Home Premium last few months to use for my home computer.
The package comes with both 32-bit and 64-bit installation DVD.
Can I use this 32-bit DVD, install onto our office's Acer computer and activate that copy of Windows using the serial on the label from Acer computer?

Thank you in advance and I really need your advise quite urgently.

I try to avoid the trouble of driving and carrying this Acer computer to where we bought it for a re-installation of 32-bit Windows version.
