I camped at Port Dickson.

Two days disconnect and pretending there is nothing wrong with this world. Palestin? Rogol? Tikam? nahhh that didn't happen.
Just focus on sleep, eat and swim see fish.
Came back home to learn that there were a big storm in Meru and many areas in Klang lol (my house still intact with only minor roof damage).

As you have guessed it looks cool in picture but in reality its like camping with double the effort, with all the sands and saltwater and whatnot. Few times a year ok la kot. But its good place to do ktard gaythering and eat sausage.
Exact Location? you guess it. Its non-prohibited area and free (but without any facilities).

I kena scam liao, buy supplement from shopee

I took statin, and it carpet bomb my cholesterol level so Dr recommended me to take supplement to recover my hdl level.

bought a bottle of fish oil from shopee seller sales to replenish my stock (I usually buy from guardian).
When it arrive, wtf man. I got counterfeit shit. The closer I inspect the worse it get.

Fake ass holo sticker instead of KKM one. QR leads to fake ass 2000s Viagra site that has zero affiliation with NPRA/KKM.
Fake ass Halal ALAYSTA logo. and wtf is ALAS. 100% made with babi

Fake ass label with cheap ass inkjet printer print

Fake ass capsule with Fake ass cloudy pale color and not firm like ori.

The label riddled with typo like its written by people with arthritis

I thought its cheap because of sale discount. mana la tau its just fake ass china shit. Its probably also made with fake ass minyak sawit inside.
Im requesting refund. fuck this shit man. I just want to live a bit longer why these assholes have to make it so hard wtf

For clarification, Biolife is a legitimate, well known brand registered with KKM.
The issue I'm raising is counterfeit of Biolife products, not I'm buying some random, unknown low-quality product as some replies here implied.

The asshole in question:
https://shopee.com.my/atovita.my
Some reviews shows genuine products, But I suspect all those are fake reviews. Further check almost all products they sell are likely fake.
Let this be a cautionary tales for you guys, never fully trust supplements from shopee.
Im just lucky whoever made this is fucking incompetent.

I camped at Cameron

Here again I come to tempt ktard to start camping

Weekday ride and camped at Cameron for 3n. This time I go duo. Sometimes two sausages is better than one.
Probably better if 3p but nobody wanted to come when I ajak ktard last time.

Usually I solo camp here during orange season in December. But this time I came to watch Perseids meteor shower (which turned out to be a flop).
Quiet and calming. And its raining too! Its not yet cold season in Cameron, average low is around 15c - just cold enough to enjoy campfire.
In the morning you can go to boh plantation nearby and enjoy field breakfast there while watching sunrise.

This time I weebmaxxing and do Yurucamp Rin's setup for lulz since most of the gears are already part of my inventory anyway.
Its nowhere as smooth as my usual loadout, but sometimes you just gotta do these kind of stuff for fun

Done meracun
I camp at Genting to run away from Klang heat

Klang so hot, but I see forecast neighboring area all got rain except Klang. Wah cilaka sungguh. Being 'u tak suka u keluar' philosophy enjoyer, I gtfo to Genting.

Got more than I bargained for 🤣. It started raining as I was heading into Serendah, and the rain clouds seemed to follow me all the way through Batang Kali to the top of Genting. Everything stayed safe and dry once I had the tent set up, however. On the second night, comes a heavy rainstorm.
But honestly, it was a good deal for me as a rain-chaser camper. That pitter patter rain sound is better than sex. The storm is just cherry on top, feels good that convinced me that my investment in a good tent really pays off lol

[YOUTUBE]IOFO24EL_v8[/YOUTUBE]

Wifi router radio power consumption

I’ve always been curious about how much power a WiFi radio consumes. Every time I ask, I get different answers, and everyone seems so confident in their response.
Since I had some free time today, I decided to test it myself and share the results here because why not?

The sample device is a Fiberhome SR1041F, which is arguably the most common, if not one of the most common, router models used in Malaysian households.
Measurement is taken at wall outlet.
To avoid potential power consumption deviations caused by CPU usage from NAT processing under load, the router is operating in bridge mode (aka dumb AP mode).
The single connected client device runs on 802.11ac for 5GHz and 802.11n for 2.4GHz, 5 feet away. The load test consists of a 10GB FTP transfer capped at 500MB server-side, max averaged over three runs.
To keep it short, let's just say the setup and methodology are academically reasonable.

Test is measured over three radio power level in router setting: low ('standard' in fiberhome lingo), medium, and high.
All transfers are conducted over the 5GHz channel. Since I'm not analyzing efficiency, just raw power consumption, I won’t be measuring power usage for activities over 2.4GHz.

Measurement across different radio power
5ghz high, 2.4ghz high
Idle: 4.8w Load: 10.1w

5ghz medium, 2.4ghz medium
Idle: 4.8w Load: 9.7w

5ghz low, 2.4ghz low
Idle: 4.8w Load: 9.2w

What we can say is there in term of power consumption or thermal is, it doesn't matter if your router is idle most of time. There is only about 1w difference in load power consumption between low and high.
But you may still want to lower the power to reduce CCI in mesh situation or congested area.

Idle measurement with one or both radio powered down.
5ghz high, 2.4ghz off
Idle: 4.6w

5ghz off, 2.4ghz high
Idle: 4.4w

5ghz off, 2.4ghz off
Idle: 2.6w

Extra:
Quality of power adapter also have some little effect;
Level V adapter, idle: 5.2w
Level VI adapter, idle: 4.8w

Usually when I bought things that subject to duty from Amazon.com it will list out how much import fee deposit in subtotal right? and the item just arrive at my doorstep without any friction with custom.
But today is my first time ordering something that exceeding duty threshold from Amazon JP.

I ordered RM2100 worth item from Amazon JP, Item is fulfilled and shipped by Amazon JP; but there is no import deposit ? (only shipping fee)
Is that mean:
1. Item will sangkut at border? (business as usual)
2. Deposit is already absorbed into list price? (as in case with EU customers)

Anyone that ordered high value items from Amazon JP recently, got idea on how this going to work out?

Hello. This is my first time setting up analog cctv. (only did ip cam before)

Say, I want to cheap out on cabling and use RG59 cca/ccs instead of full copper for my cctv. How long the distance I can get away with this before the signal going bad?

People tend to jump on answer expensive=better no matter what, but most of those discussions are centered on warehouse context with 300+ meter runs.
I'm just doing this for a 2 storey house.

Want to use wallet, but since I only got unsupported Maybank acc, I need to open a new acc for this.
Standard Chartered branch happened to be the nearest and most convenient one to me of all the banks on the list.
I don't care about any other details. Just want a basic RM8 debit card to attach with wallet. So I decided to open this one la.

Last time I check it was supported (as of May 2023)
https://www.lowyat.net/2023/300527/google-w...dard-chartered/
[attachmentid=11480573]

But when I check again today it's no more.

My latest TNB bill shows that I must pay RM11.20 ICPT for streetlight in addition of RM10.25 fee for streetlight itself. Waffak? how can the surcharge be more expensive?
even more ridiculous when looking at the total, that single streetlight alone makes up to 40% of my total bill.
[attachmentid=11418269]

It's time to cancel the streetlight and just use my own lighting. Not paying for that shit anymore.
80w LED spotlight with better light quality should only add RM6 per month.

edit:
since many ktard ask. No, private streetlight is not some special atas stuff only for T20 with 5 story bungalows.
If you own the lot and has reasonable area for light coverage, doesn't matter if you live in reban ayam or mansion - you can apply for it with monthly bill. As simple as that.

Can ISP detect number of devices behind NAT?

In the event that customers are eligible for unlimited data and hotspot offering as part of internet top-up with contract, customer’s hotspot usages are limited to 10Mbps and only 3 devices at any point of time and peer to peer downloads is capped at 64kbps.

I interpret it as only 3 devices can be access internet at a time. So how do they enforce this?
Since tethered devices are behind NAT and have their own private IP space, how do they detect number of connected devices?
Anyone know some technical details on this?

So I've been migrating to BSD for long time (and absolutely love everything about it) but firewall is still my weak spot.

Whenever I boot my server, the firewall will block any (or some? im not too sure) outgoing.
My house can't get fiber but..

My area has has covered with HSBB since last year, but when I want to apply my lot is not listed (I live in single house with lot address).
But all my neighboring lot was listed in system.

I suspect its because of the unfortunate location of my lot, its like on blind spot.
There are two fiber distribution point both within just 50m from my house, but you have to to cross the other property or lay cable across the road (TM poles are on opposite side of road).
But I see many other house in my area did it, some just simply rest on top TNB cables or piggyback on private residential TNB lamp post. Anyway, I know it is possible to pull cable to my house despite its not officially supported by TM.

Not only I can't get unifi. celcom/digi fiber also cannot get because they also refer to TM's infra list.

So I want to know it is possible for me to ask a contractor directly to just pull the cable to my house?
I made this complain since 5 years ago back in Streamyx era. but no action. Last two week ago I made another complain. They promise to send ppl to make survey within 3 day. Well u guess it. its a lie. I wait until today nobody come.
If I wait TM to sort this out not only it might take years, but I also will be forced to use Unifi (if possible i want to use celcom/digi because they currently offer better value and peering that favor my needs).

Is it possible to ask someone from celcom/digi contractor to install the internet anyway? My area is Kapar/Meru.
or at least is there any channel I can use to pressure TM to fix this problem?

I teach u how to bypass porn la

Edit: Since my post got reported by some moral gestapo, i change the narrative la:

Lets say, one day you wake up and suddenly can't access your favorite Linux distro site. Turned out some guy at ISP got drunk and accidentally categorize your distro with other blocked porn site, like pornhub or hamster... and you can't live your life properly without downloading a Linux ISO every hour. Its a live or death matter. we must do something!

Im not supposed to teach this, but since /k so many buta it one and start opening many bodo tered (signs of insanity from excessive Windows ) I give some humanitarian aid la.

Edit: this should be adequate to bypass blanket censorship. If you looking to bypass targeted censorship like pornhub specifically, refer to edit below.

Simply changing dns is not enough because isp can still read your query and keep you out from your favourite distro site. You need secured dns to patch this weak link.

If you are using phone, simplest way is use Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 app. Go to play store look for cloudflare dns.
This will make a dns tunnel to Cloudflare's DoH dns without additional real vpn overhead. So you candownload Linux ISO as fast as your internet allow. For udang hub, turn on warp. This puts you on real vpn mode and just let you bypass specific ip block.

If you are on desktop, enable dns over https on browser. If you are using firefox, go to options at network settings, tick enable DNS over https and ok. If u use chrome idk la but look for something like 'secure dns' or 'dns over https (or tls)'. No need to to tinker anything outside browser. No need overkill vpn. Just fix where it is needed. For udang hub specifically, refer edit below.

Anyway i recommend to turn on this setting all the time whether you want to bypass censorship or not. Plain dns you are using is 80s protocol which is extremely insecure by today's standard.

This will work on all home connection (unless you live in some shitty managed network building that incorporates DPI/block 1.1.1.1. Mobile network digi work. Not so sure about celcom/maxis; some reported it doesn't)

----
edit: while this work for me and some other, many don't, for some reason.
Another workaround is my hardcoding the hostname as described by bro rizvanrp and reported working too:

QUOTE(rizvanrp @ Mar 24 2020, 04:08 PM)

Even if you change your DNS on Unifi, they've blackholed the route to PH's IP @ 66.254.114.41. The actual fix would be to edit your Windows hosts file :

CODE

66.254.114.40 p***h*b.com
66.254.114.40 www.p***h*b.com

^ Replace the asterisks ofc. Close your browser tabs, run ipconfig /flushdns and access the site.

They run on a CDN so you should be able to just use a different IP in the CDN which doesn't have it's /32 blacklisted. YMMV.
[right][snapback]95998598[/snapback][/right]

more:
xv - 185.88.181.18
xh - 104.18.156.3

<s>easiest way to do this is by downloading this batch file and run as admin. this covers 3 most visited udang place. (I can't simply paste the content here because LYN's overachieving content firewall refuse to let me post anything resembling cli command )
https://send.firefox.com/download/a04c64020...EJlEv2HMdWO4f2w</s>

https://pastebin.com/MAGYVLis
paste into CMD admin mode, one line at a time,

restart
